Guild Wars 2

Well, as you know sPvP is dying day by day and there’s not much you can do if you don’t add ladders, new game modes etc etc… Even when you finally do that I don’t think there’ll be an huge amount of people coming back.
Don’t you guys think that realising the sPvP part of the game as a free to play content would revive the competitive aspect of the game and still bring more custumers to buy the game? (and use the gem shop, if you create content for sPvP players).

Could help a little, but not in a long term. Only having 4-5 maps and proffesion “balance” will make those players go away soon.
They should copy TF2 system, give community option to make new maps and other things (more “funny” cosmetics, emotes). In Team Fortress 2 some classes were better then others on some maps/modes and other way around, that’s why it was easier to balance them there.

Ye, I forgot to say that if anet thinks about this option they shouldn’t realise it now!!! Only when the game is more “mature”

I would say free to play spvp could go a really long way. I miss the way the old tournaments use to be.. I don’t know if there even is 5v5 premade anymore those were the best for tournaments. But solo que alot of leavers or people who just don’t show up. Anyways i feel that this game has so much potential to be an e sport. I just think going to Free to play could help alot. I’m sure it would definitely make more costs for guild wars 2 server’s if it would cause the population to be like it was before. It would bring back people who may have already bought the game but more importantly their friends. Making spvp free with access to the cash shop would help for people who like some cosmetic stuff / people who may decide wow the combat is so good and might want to do pve just for wvw. I always play games for pvp for the most part and i believe that this game’s pvp is really good and probably has potential to be better but spvp is lacking players. If spvp was free to play i would only expect it’s chances for it to be an esport to increase and for guild wars to increase and hopefully make it easier for people who already are in the pvp scene… Like the big streamers that like competetive stuff on pc. I just really enjoy the pvp and thing guildwars 2 is doing an amazing job with pvp in terms of actual combat and domination type objectives and polishing it with updates. Will the relase of custom games be enough ? (i boought the tickets before realizing that i can’t get the starter kit unless i get acknowledged while streaming. This is just my two cents. I just don’t see how spvp going free to play wouldn’t help the community in so many ways.

it is free for me to play, and iI do so only out of spite. It’s a masochistic ritual.

to have fun, iI play other games, that are fun.

free to play iisn’t cheap enough.
