SPvP is dead
Though I agree on the points of fixing tooltips/etc, rest of your ramblings are just bad. I’m fine with thief SB 5, adds an interesting and much needed mechanic to the class (not a thief myself btw), wait until you see how guardians can teleport with a 1h sword. Mesmers will NEVER 1-shot anyone or do you mean mesmers on trebs, considering you brought up the portal play. Everything will die 3v1, unless the attacking players somehow go afk in the middle of attacking. Though good bunker players can keep bad players away for quite some time, they all die. And very fast against good players. Castbars aren’t needed, I actually prefer that you have to look out for animation vs big text “OP skill, avoid it”.
Less smashing your face on keyboard&tak-tak-tak away and rethink your arguments through.
because the size differences between the races are rather big, I am in favour of cast bars.
Just throwing that in here.
Balance isn’t there yet, but not going to comment on that one.
In general I think spvp is a mess indeed, it needs some serious attention fast.
Im up for castbars i guess. Easier to see castings on Charr then on asura for sure.
They switched from a slow paced controlled pvp(This was fun) to a CC kittenfest.
“SPvP is dead”…I wont even read your explanation. Because you haven’t been playing spvp if you think it’s dead.

If the implement a ladder system I will never touch PvE again. And my social life would be ruined forever :P
Just one thing here, Anet stated, they don’t want to make the game a statfest and make everything visual, that’s great, but as TE mentioned, some traits and other things just have very bad descriptions, also when you look at others that do not…a little example would be the trait that gives guardians +15% critchance with 1 hand weapons, that’s good, i see what i get, but then there’s the other one that says “you do more dmg the more boons you have” jeah well how much is this exactly? should i take this or the 10% flat on burning? and why is the burning one again telling me how much it is but the other one with the boons not? (also for another example see the one with the low endurance, and how low?)
that are just my thoughts about this little part of what TE mentioned, rest…well I can’t agree really but also not fully disagree so i just don’t say anything there =)
EDIT: i forgot to mention, that i stated this exact problem multiple times during beta weekends and they never did anything about it so i wouldnt expect them to do anything now.
i dont know man. i see a lot of people in hotjoin whenever i hot join.
and im sick and tired of people telling that GW1 is perfect. if it is perfect, then we should still be seeing lots of people playing it and being broadcasted in twitch.

This. There’s a reason most of the top streaming players are asura and I highly doubt it’s because they actually wanted to play a gremlin where you can’t see the detail of the cosmetic armor you’re working for.
When I’m attacked by a Charr or a Norn I can tell what he’s doing in the fight. When I’m attacked by an Asura I don’t see animations unless they are SUPER exagerrated (pistol whip for instance where they float in mid-air like some dragonkitten character or something and slash away). For the most part with Asura all I see on the screen is this tiny little red or blue “thing” jumping all over the place like yoda fighting dooku without any actual style or visual cues as to what it’s doing.

And I forgot, and this is the best part xD
4th You will never see streams of Guild Wars 1 because… It has an observation mode.
yes, as if observer mode is accessible by lots of people around the world. how about the ones who have no Guild Wars client installed. LoL has observer mode but its twitch presence is solid.
twitch means there are people who are playing the game broadcasting it for other people to see.

1.) Classic games never grow old. You should see a Guild Wars 1 presence dominating if it is so good. Why people value vintage cars?
2.) Dead. if you want to stay true to the definition of dead, I’ll say “Heroes Ascent is dead.” it is more credible on my part because it is true to the definition of dead.
it is not metaphorical dead.
3.)I talked of hotjoin because it is there you see tangible numbers that are doing PvP. the player number and server is indicated on the window.

Indeed. Quakeworld is going strong to this day with a competitive community. Still fun as hell after all these years.
