Currently, many items will salvage into tokens much rarer than expected – for example a player salvages an item found in a rabbit chest, and receives a wolf token. Some players are terming this “crit salvage”.

I have always worked under the assumption that this behavior is unintended, and have reported a couple of instances in-game via /bug.

However, it has been nearly a month now and these recipes have not been changed, indeed, more are being found as players reach each new major rank. I am beginning to wonder if it is “working as intended”.

Any confirmation on this would be appreciated, if it is intentional, I’ll stop self-censoring when people ask me how certain players are using tiger or dragon gear, and where those tokens came from.
