I’m fairly certain i’ve seen that aura stack up to 10 seconds

I believe you can get 7 seconds of aura consecutively if all 3 of your leap finisher from the tripple leap go through a light field. Resets itself 3 times. Double elixir b gives about 90% uptime on retal. Don’t think it is really a problem though.

Unless engis have a trait that increases retaliation damage then this is an untrue statement. It should scale the same was its just engi can self stack might a lot easier.

Can scrapper provide team retal though? As far as I know, only the Guardian’s signet of judgement, save yourselves, and aegis (with wrathful spirit) can give team-wide retaliation in a 600 radius. In a team fight that can actually be really great.

I think the bigger issue here that I’m hearing is that jesus is no longer viable since the Jan. 26 patch because Scrapper just does it all better.

Well me neither, but that doesn’t change how the dev’s designed it: Guardian is the only class with the capability to provide AOE retal, so comparing guardian retal uptime with engi’s isn’t really a fair comparison.

Edit P.S. Back when bunker guard was viable, switching valor our for zeal was totally legit. Between the shattered aegis spam and wrathful spirit retal in team fights, I was getting 500k dps a game as a bunker. You take a hit by losing out on AH, but shrug, at the time (pre-HoT d/d ele bruiser meta) the DPS wasn’t so bad so you could get away with it if you managed your cooldowns intelligently and didn’t spam. Oh the good old days…

Yes, we can blast multiple times into a Light Field.

We have 1 on EG 5, 2 on Mortar (4 and 5).

ENGINEER has always had a lot of access to retal not just scrapper.

You’re saying that IF a guard dedicates the build, weapon skills and utilities for Retal, then the engi will have less.. All an engi has to do is run the meta build and it comes baked in the whole thing, do you not realize this?

Scrapper didn’t bring any new retal sources, except a triple leap finisher for an aura, which isn’t stacking in duration. So why is it a problem now? Engineer always had good retal sources and no one complained about it.

What if, and bear with me on this one, what if scrapper IS the Jesus profession? He works miracles by facetanking 2 or more players while sharing all of the glorious blessings (boons) with his team and shining the light (reveal) upon allies and enemies alike whilst casting a veil of protection to keep them hidden (stealth gyro) from the eyes of Satan and his followers all while sending his angels (function gyro) to assist his fallen allies during the heat of battle to grant them salvation.

Funny enough light aura is the only aura that still stacks. Probably an oversight by the devs. You can get like 13 secs of light aura if you jump in your elixir gun field 3 times.

Permaboons shouldn ’t be in the game, nor should engi have an enormous source of its damage come from retal.

Plus there are only two ways to counter retal: 1. not hit the enemy and 2. convert/strip the boon. Not every class can do that every other attack, amirite?

Normally, you would find him by following the sneak gyro, but Satan hid the gyro in more stealth so the people can’t find him at all.
