While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.

What I want to know is what is the proper way to report people that go AFK in Ranked Matches during Season 2? Do we select “Botting” and send the report? Do we need to take screenshots and send them to exploits@arenanet.com? What is the proper procedure?

I know in the past I have had people go AFK simply because the score was 15-100 and many times my team has come back and won games like that. Obviously if the score was 250-450 I could understand going AFK.

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of people that throw their hands up and give up a lot in Season 2 because score won’t matter. So I’m hoping for a response from Anet letting everyone know that going AFK and throwing matches won’t be tolerated.

theres been a lot of things pvp’rs have been hoping anet would do, i’ll give u 1 guess on how many of those thangs they’ve done

Ask for a resign feature instead. I will continue to afk because I do not want to leave spawn just to get steamrolled over and over again.

there are no afkers in e$ports so its none of Anet’s concerns, sorry

Also, if a player from your team quits, let us quit too without getting dishonour, that would be great.

You can try reporting them for botting but it probably won’t work. Nothing will happen until it gets included in the dishonor system but it appears from the lack of an anet response that they have shelved trying to include AFKers in the dishonor system. Any queries just get ignored which is a sure sign they aren’t doing anything about it.

I thought that we were supposed to report them for LFG System Abuse.

I report them for LFG abuse, but am not sure if that is appropriate… I vaguely recall a post, somewhere, said to do that.

By not reporting cus Anet doesnt care. You think they banned anyone during s1? Ha ha ha.

Even their dishonor doesnt work. You could relog during a match, stay in selection screen for few mis, log in and que without any troubles as dishonor wasnt applied at all.

Afk players are the most annoying things in PvP however,

Look at the streams on twitch and even pro league players that are sponsored by Anet to stream on twitch (I will name one person —> noscoc) afk cos they are not happy with what the team is doing in unranked. If Anet sponsors such players and they purposely afk, then the reporting of afk is pointless. End of.

you cant report afkers , smart afkers will just switch to a troll class for exsample warrior or run around like brainless chicken. people do that when they want their team to lose because tired of the broken matchmaking system and the system matching them with useless scrubs.

afkers will always win and go “afk” if they want.
you should blame arenanet , there is a reason why people go afk , one of the main reasons is because the matchmaking is horrible bad designed , so make arenanet rework their matchmaking and less people will go “afk”.
