Season Times Too Long
I work, have a family and so on so time is of the essence. Shorten it and I may not get all the rewards. Already pushing it because I got in late so now even more pressure to win out the reward system and try to get to gold. Though I agree time between seasons is pretty long but it has to be developed which cannot happen overnight.

the only reward is the asc gear and you can get the shards in around 50 games or so, should be possible in a month dont ya think?
also rewards can be gathered through next seasons aswell, so your argument that you got no time to get rewards is pretty weak
I actually think that the seasons are too short considering the downtime we have between each season. I would certainly not be opposed to shortening the time between each season. And now that we have a much better season structure in place (what with the changes S5 brought) that could potentially mean less development time is needed between seasons to work on backend stuff, so it could mean seasons coming more often.

Of course that is your opinion since you do not live in my household or know my schedule. Point is what is good for you or me or anyone else is not good for everyone. Not really here to start an argument. You asked opinion…did not like opinion. Not my fault

Less time:
Cons:
- Less people participate, per season.
- The system take times to accuratly measure the skill of all/most players so theres less time with quality of time matches.
- Less time for the meta to stabilizate.
- Less feedback and data about the season problems.
Pros:
- Less time for the community to accumualate bile over the season problems.
- Faster solutions to the highlighted problems (their quality of quantity depend of the data and feedback taken).
More time:
Cons:
- Solutions take more time.
- More bile created.
Pros:
- Small (%) increase in participation per season.
- We do play more time with better matchs.
- More feedback and data for the same problems.
From that imo considering balances changes, they do have a very good season lenght.
Also reducing time between seasons can create two problems:
- Less time to try fix posible sideffects of balance changes and drop some that they were still calculating.
- More of the new meta takes to surface its spent in the season (before part was after), meaning it willl be less stable (more volatility and worse matches).

What’s a bilis?
What’s a bilis?
Sorry edited, though the word was the same in english and spanish.
Bile →Bilis.
Stuff.
There’s really no Pros in shorter seasons. If problems are fixed at a proper rate, there’s no bile to accumulate.
There will always be saltiness, but that’s competitive play for you.
Solutions only take more time because ArenaNet are stubborn OCD people. They created this weird schedule, and are adamant in sticking to it.
If they started doing weekly balance patches, or biweekly, we could have a year long season like LoL.
Of course they’d also have to make the requirements for ranks harder, but then again, it would also make having legendary mean something, not something you can farm every season.
I wish that Season 6 was at least 6 months long, with biweekly balance, and a hard MMR reset + 10 game placements.
That would give a level paying field for everyone, and maybe, hopefully deviate from the “farm my rank, and leave” mindset.
PvP isn’t supposed to be something you “finish” but THAT’S EXACTLY what is happening.
