I didnt start playing PvP this season yet due to me spending 2 weeks at my relatives and I am wondering whetever to bother.

Is it worth? I guess ill be placed around 1500s due to only playing up til legend on seasons. I see considerably less qq than last seasons. How long does it take to take ascended armor/weapon if you play like 10 hours a day?

Is power rev viable? Ele still thrash for solo I guess? I can pretty much play all classes except thief.. I just need to choose my flavour of the month.

Power rev is still viable, ele is still trash for solo cause you are just as good as the people you support. Means ele can only be played at prime time.

Best class to carry is probably mesmer followed by war/engi/thief all highly mobile, strong duelist and can disengage/engage where they want.

Commiting to teamfights usually wont carry the game as you lose side points to the classes i just named and you cant finish the teamfight in this amount of time.

Meeeeh I play to complete a 2/6 ascended set I had on one of my main WvW characters. After that kitten you sPvP I wont look back.

Getting the ascended depend on how often you win. I already got 2 new pieces and thats been like 30ish matches, but I had a really bad loss streak where I got nothing so that was pointless. A wild guess is something like 40ish wins to complete it for 5 pieces?

If you’re moving up relatively fast (60% win rate) you can gear up pretty quickly. I got the chest and 2nd armor in 2-3 days and I only play about 4hrs, give or take.

The rating doesn’t really matter, except you want to be on the top 250

Depends on how your placement goes. If it goes well I suppose it would be fun. If not, do yourself a favour and pass on this one.

not really, due to the constant lag spike at peek times.

once you can get all the ascended gear you can better to do somethine else.

Your rating will not align with your rank from past seasons, especially from season4. Don’t be surprised if you’re lower.

The matching based solely on rating is much better than the awful pip-based matching from the last four. Games are closer and queues are 1-2min long.

You can probably reach the max tokens for ascended items within a week. The rewards used to buy ascended items are from the pip track are predominately based on time, but playing better gets them faster. Because you’ll be playing people near your rating, you should win about 50% of your games. Win gives 10 pips, loss gives 3.

Power Rev works, but you have to be good at it or you’ll be farmed. Ele is good for solo, but depends on your team to know to fight with you and not stagger in solo. I would say DH and warrior give you the most flexibility between 1v1 and team fights.

Not worth. You can go dh like everybody and just trap everything. Dunno who is that * in Anet who develop DH skills…but that person has no knowledge what balance is. You get team of 3 DHs, you will definitely hold at least 1 point secure all the time. Non stop trap spaming and condi dmg…idiotic.
