Guild Wars 2

Hello Anet,
It’s my first topic and forgive me mistakes(If there is any). I’ve already researched info about my question but, nothing in forums. well.

I’m new in Guild Wars 2 (2 month) and I already feel good in pvp. So I started prev season and working on Backpack.
It’s my second season of pvp and I’m at 4th part of Achievments, where I found achievment: “League Elite”.
I understand that i have to cross 4 divisions, and assuming that previous divisions i crossed doesn’t counts, but its not problem for me.

For me problem is that I’m ruby atm, and cant really cross 4 more divisions in this season and as people mention and close to logic, there will be only 4 seasons in Year of ascension. So the only my mistake is that I’ve started playing gw in 3rd season.
I think many people would like to know:

- How many Seasons will be in “Year of the ascension” ?
- What will happen with my Achievments when this season ends (4th one)
or
- Do you plan to reset achievments after every Year of Ascension ? becouse it’s will be deadly for me. so much work done already.

Can any nice guy from Anet answer me ?

To make it easy, just thing of a PvP Season and a ‘Year of Ascension’ differently. You can work on a current Part of the achievement section in any season. For example, if you need to cross 4 divisions, you could go from Amber to Emerald in 4 different seasons to get that part of the achievement. So no, achievements will not reset each season.

I know that achievments keep progress between seasons. I want to know if they do it with Years of the Ascension too.

Last season? So its not possible to get ascension if you started from day 1 this season? This season is 3 day to short for all daily achievements.

As far as I can tell yes they may squeeze a 5th season in that starts in November or late October, they say you can still work on parts of the Ascension afterwards at a higher cost so idk. But I believe they will have the 4 seasons total

If these achievements get locked after this season that’s really not cool of Anet. Some sort of warning should have been in order when the season started. Maybe there’s people taking a break this season and were gonna finish the Part IV on season 5 and now they wouldn’t be able to and weren’t warned that they couldn’t.

Who is to say there is a Season 5? The seasons started December 1st of 2015, but there are only 4 years of the Ascension which one would assume would correlate to how many Seasons, but Anet is vague as usual and haven’t said one way or the other when the Year of the Ascension ends.

Currently seasons have been 8 weeks Long and has 30 days in between the seasons this current season ends on October 9th so November 9th would be the start of the hypothetical Season 5 which wouldn’t give 8 weeks till December 1st 2016 which would be exactly 12 months and would be the end of the year of the Ascension.

I don’t think y’all should be getting onto ANET for not allowing players to progress through the achievements or get the wings after the seasons. If they didn’t play a couple seasons, then that is their fault, not ANET’s.
