How is a low level/new to PvP solo queue team comprised ehem “randomly” of warriors, gaurdians and mesmers supposed to beat a 3 stack of necro’s and two thieves when all our boons are turned on us in a split second, they dump wells on the cap point and we are killed before we can even see them them/not be feared. It’s not solo necro’s I have a problem with or even thieves (Even though thieves aren’t real people), My problem is the complete imbalance of classes when teams are formed, my worst experience was a full 5 stack of necro’s who quite frankly were just as bad as us but we had zero chance of winning even when they are weak to CC, you CC them they just get back on the point or drive you off with wells, not forgetting the three effective HP bars they have.

This Isn’t a rage thread but a frustrated cry for help, I want to get good at PvP so I can play more WvW without being told by elitists guilds that we aren’t welcome and should join the pug zerg that unfortunately on my server doesn’t exist coz the guilds are leaving for sad and pathetic reasons such as account hacks accusations, racism and us not being a 100% WvW server so they all jump ship to better ranked server hoping for easy wins on the backs of hard working guilds.

Why the quotes on randomly? Are you saying your team wasn’t random? Also people consider warriors overpowered so you will not get any sympathy. In fact Wellomancers and thiefs in general are considered weak. Especially to Warriors.

Necromancers do not have 3 health bars.

PvP and WvW are completely different, do not expect to get better playing one over the other.

At medium to higher levels you may have a point but I am no where near these levels the mechanics will work completely differently as a result.

Necro’s do get multiple HP bars when they turn into that god Death Shroud and just steal tonnes of HP back.

And yes i do expect to get better in WvW through sPvP, not in the grand scheme of positioning a huge zerg, prioritizing objectives but the actual trade craft of fighting, if you can’t beat someone 1v1 and understand your class how can you expect to beat multiple enemies as part of a large group.

Necromancers do not enter god mode when they go into death shroud. Much like warriors the extra HP serves as a meat shield against enemy attacks because the class has a lack of defensive utilities.

Multiple means 3 or more, and Necromancers only have access to two health bars.

You do not need to kill another player in order to know how your class works. It is simply practice. You can achieve practice easily by playing the game. Just because you are good does not mean you can kill everyone, and if you expect that to be the case you are wrong.

Just play wvw. Spvp has completely different builds, and honestly, why do you need practice blobbing?

1v1 is not part of wvw, and if you really had 3 warr, 2 guard… well, you should have crushed most comps. Including wellomancers and thieves (lol… warriors complaining about wellomancers…)

If you want to improve, start paying attention. Necros have death shroud and a health bar, and they do not heal while in death shroud….

In terms of combating Necromancers, in no way/shape/form is Guardian, Warrior, or Mesmer unprepared to deal with them!

A good mixture of professions trumps triple-classing almost everytime, too.

So, I read a bit closer and see that you actually are looking for help versus these Necro heavy setups, while disguising this thread as a Necro rage thread, lol.

In reality, you should focus on picking the right builds to face such an obvious comp, and focus on the many holes in the 3 Necro team’s armor.

Triple Necro is so very easily countered.

  • If you’re a Warrior: (Intuition tells me that you are) Use the proper amulet. If there are many condition Necros, Rangers, and Engineers, the berserker amulet is an obvious choice. In that case, make sure you have Signet of Stamina in addition to the popular Warrior core traits/utilites (Cleansing Ire, Burst Mastery, Berserker Stance, Stability.
  • Out-Rotate them. Due to inferior mobility, if a Necromancer defender leaves a point, you can pretty easily back-cap him and at least start the fight with a neutral point, unless he gives it up for free.
  • Overextend as a group. Necromancers pretty much rely on ridiculously strong counter-pressure when focused. Pop your cooldowns and run a train on their kitten – they normally can’t disengage due to lack of stealth, blocks, and teleports besides Flesh Wurm.
