Cele d/d ele seriously OP !

We are getting closer (very slowly but still) to having some fun pvp again after months of this crap. Dev confirmed they are working on fix to vamp rune bug and are discussing implementing nerfs and buffs for ele in the future. Keep up the pressure, spam forums, send emails, make phone calls, stage peaceful(-ish) protests outside their offices if in the area.

Keep it up, get them to stop discussing and actually start working on fixes, it has to be fixed with HoT release at the latest. Its too late for this BWE but having the last beta weekend with at least somewhat balanced ele would be great to give better feedback. its hard to evaluate new classes/specs when they get destroyed by cele eles just like all the existing classes/specs and most matches have 5-8 eles.

FIX BEFORE HoT RELEASE OR RIOT!

alternatively if they choose to further buff the ele my suggestions are – double restoration signet passive, give aegis on attunment swap, using a cantrip recharges all other cantrips, jumping burns all foes in the area and heals the ele, eles get 250 points to all stats for every other ele in the area.

Don’t be too optimistic. You don’t know how ANET balances. They will do one of two things:

1. Nerf something that impacts a majority of classes and hope that it hurts ele as well.
2. Make a ton of changes at once, and just break something new that is broken.

I’m hoping they learn their lesson this time and fix burn stacking which is the issue.

I really hope they learn how to do hot fixes… The put it off til another day thing is not healthy for a pvp scene.

im not for them nerfing ele into the ground. Ive always ran staff ele and at no point has staff ele been the top of builds to play. D/D ele for some reason has gotten everything and i would just like to bring them back into place.

The thing that bothers me the most and everyone knew d/d got everything in this last patch. The havent done anything about the amount of blinds/burns some builds put out by simply just smashing there face into the keyboard. D/D ele puts constant blinds and burns on people without any change of play style. The most i can put on someone is 7 by pressing 3 for 2 burns dodge rolling into them for 2 and using cleansing ire. I cant stack anymore but you get 2 d/d eles and they put up the fire field at the same time in perfect spots on a point and bam there is 12 stacks on you if your not paying attention. I ranted a bit here but i really hope they dont kill eles because they couldnt fix d/d.

sustain is the real issue. If you tone down burning a bit all it does is that it takes a few extra secs for ele to kill the target. He would still win every single duel, be unkillable 2v1 and only sometimes die 3v1, all with elite mobility, team-support, downstate, condi clense, everything you can name, along with being the most boring spec of all time and easiest/most forgiving spec in the game atm.
eles would still be stacked 2-4 on every team and their amount would be the primary deciding factor in most matches. But this thread isnt really for discussing anything. Its just my daily routine, play 3-4 matches, have them all be decided by which team rolls more eles, get frustrated fighting those countless eles and their endless heals, close the game, make a thread/post just for the sake of it, do something else.

Sustain nerf is absolute priority. Burning needs only a slight nerf on the ele and bug fixing RoF. Blinding ashes needs higher CD. You dont want to nerf dmg too much, i dont mind ele doing some dmg.

i really think that anet needs to fix the amulets in the game. ATM cele amulets allow for players to do everything with 3 classes, ele/guardian/necro and if the simply boost the stats on the other 3 stat amulets it would give a bigger purpose to roles.

Ive been playing power/condi warrior and i was using carrion. Big shocker cele was better and that is the problem right there. Its like the zerk ammy with maruder. 1 cant be better then the other but the counter. Thats one opinion i have on this.
