Vee Wee is so tired! So frickin sick and tired of using Magnet only to have the pulled person teleport everywhere! It’s one thing if it was a rare occurrence! But it happens literally every other freaking Magnet! This is ridiculous! This has been here since launch! Please! For the love of god! For the love of anyone who uses Tool Kit! For the love of Vee Wee! Please fix this issue already! That is all!

Hah. Yeah that was one of the worst de-syncs that I have ever saw.

When casting magnet, the following things happen:

• Ranger gets yanked back about 300 distance.

• Ranger goes forward about 300 distance.

• One agonizingly long full second later, after your blowtorch and all other moves miss, (attempts to hit him in previous position) he appears at the original magnet destination.

• Cry because your gank was entirely ruined for no reason.

In EU this happens very often in the last days. Yesterday I pulled a ranger and he acted like an elevator. After he was done he was on a complete different location. Had more strange pulls than normal pulls. Not only ranger, also ele or necro.

It might be that the DoSing that has been happening to GW2 has been causing quite a few issues.

yesterday, i RTL’d through the portal on foefire, just to end up at the opposite end of the map first for a very short time, then i fell through the floor and after 1 additional second i was standing next to our node as if nothing ever happened. veeeerrry interesting, but general heavy lag day.

Does this also cause teleports, like Judge’s Intervention, to teleport to the enemy, then instantly back to your previous location? It’s been happening more and more recently…

I hate this, it always happens with magnet pull and makes me sad :c

what about earthshaker on target and you just stand still like an idiot going back to your starting position while mid-air? Now they can’t blame lizard squad or whatever anymore for their crap servers….and last night teamates randomly dc…we also were in hotm and like half ppl there got dc at the same time..4 out of 5 in my team dc’ed and the one who didn’t just saw half hotm disappear lol…i’ve seen crappy chinese mmorpgs working way better than this, no joke

Not the case my frand Dirame! This has been happening probablyn since launch! The highlight I linked from Chaith’s stream was 6 months ago! I have been using Tool Kit in my build for over a year and goshdarn it at least 1/3 of my Magnets fail! If not more! Please fix Anet!

My favorite is when you pull and they fly up in the air…but yes I too have noticed this skill failing a lot as of late. I just figured there was some small dip in terrain or a pebble I didn’t see stopping them.

Read this thread and had to share,

I was on stairs near mid for temple and got pulled toward mid. Instead of a normal pull I went flying higher up in the air… O wait I was already higher up than the guy on mid so I took 11k fall damage and instantly died.

Game changing yo.

Something tell me that Anet people is like HS kids being given a key to all accesses of a nuclear reactor.

It’s not even limited to pulls.

I overcharge shot somebody, and they get stopped by an object, EXTREMELY OFTEN, they will flicker back and forth between either side of said object while they’re knocked down. The game basically auto-dodges all of your attacks for them. It’s super facepalm worthy when you are trying to land your well deserved combo on someone who’s supposed to be STILL.

When you went to overcharge shot him, he actually wasn’t where he appeared to be. See when your character whipped around even though he was in front of you?? That’s the tell.

That’s because his real position was behind you, and that made a perfect path for him to land on the glass panel.

I don’t know if this is related to desyncs but recently whenever i try to pull someone over a gap he doesn’t move to me, he moves up.
I didn’t fraps this but i pulled one thief on skyhammer and he went so high that after landing he almost died to fall damage, it could be something related to the issue you are discuting.

On topic though, this kitten bug has cost me many fights and ruined many kills. There is nothing more frustrating than blowing a bajillion cooldowns after a magnet and then watching them port behind you, then forward, then somewhere else entirely while all your kitten is just whiffing.

So basically I should go into WvW and pull anyone. It has about a 10% success rate out there for me…

Why is it only Engi PvPers who complain then? What is this sorcery… a huge deal of the player base zergs WvW – why aren’t there more forum tears? Lol. I don’t get it.

Seems like a player-side issue. Have you tried resetting your router?

On the rare occasion that Vee Wee gets hit by these attacks, sometimes Vee wee notices the missed spam! It’s pretty funny but Vee Wee knows what they are going through! Then it becomes not as funny and it just makes Vee Wee mad! Goshdarn it enemy Engineer! Vee Wee knows your pain!

Earthshaker, Ranger GS #3, Magnet, Lightning Reflexes, Rush. Anything that moves quickly has a tendency to completely $!@# up.

I got 1 shot by an engi pull on Forest the other day.

I’ve experienced a few things…

• Magnet pull only pulls enemy halfway.
• Magnet pull pulls enemy halfway, so then I run towards him, only to have him teleport to where he should have been pulled to start with.
• Magnet pull works! Yay, oh no he just teleported back to where he was before the pull. >.<
• Throw Wrench tb projectile skill falls down into skyhammer holes, negating the attack.

People don’t run engis in zergs, it’s all about GWEN!

They just solo and small group stuff, and most of the time it’s just some perplexity condi builds.

Today in the ToG, an Engineer pulled Marvin into the hole at mid on Temple, and then he ported back up because of server desyncs! This is a tournament! A TOURNAMENT! How can this continue! Please Anet! You haven’t even commented on this! Let us hear what you are doing about this issue if you are doing anything at all!

The casters had no idea what happened which leads me to believe this isn’t a hugely popular issue! Does Anet even know about this problem! How can this be allowed to happen!

Use Lightning Flash to dodge an AoE spell, a second later I am teleported back into the spell.

Use Blink to jump over a hole, after walking for a moment on the other side of the hole I die to fall damage.

The desyncs are pretty rough on any of the instant spells, I wish the server was lagging enough that it didn’t process the cooldowns on these wasted abilities!
