Has anyone been getting horrendous server lag out of the blue the last few days ?? This is driving me crazy, everything seems fine then boom. Never had a problem before. I play some other games, no issues on there, assume its a server / anet issue.

Sorry for the people who I have played solo q with me and witnessed this, played thousands of games never had any problems.

Had it since the end of August. Don’t hope for a fix any time soon, the devs are aware but very uninformative about their progress in fixing it, and whether or not they have even identified the issue yet.

The thread didn’t die because the lag left, it died due to lack of regular informative responses from the devs.

I’ve had some rediculous lag in the last few hours. 300ms latency for serverside actions, which is incredibly irritating as a zerker class.

Yes, I have been experiencing it as of late as well. Makes playing rather challenging.

Any particular reason anyone can think of that during the similar times (nowish 10:15 EST) over the course of a couple nights one’s latency would shoot up to 300ms for a hardwired connection to a modem that’s internet connection is getting 42ms ping to Dallas Texas?

Are there DDOS attacks on ANet’s vendor that’s hosting their servers?

Is their maintainence that the vendor is doing?

It’s very frustrating when the game is unplayable for zerker classes.

Knowing that the game is going to be unplayable for zerkers doing PvP in advance would be nice.

Command prompt, "tracert<ip>", one of the hops will have a very high ms value. The associated server is where the latency is. Most problems with lag for games seems to comes from within Telia.net. As for the why... 2 months and still no information on that. Good luck finding out.
