Default… I use a Naga. :P
Seriously though, I highly suggest people rebind their F1-5 keys to shift + 1-5. Changed my life.
My button layout is kinda funky. I also linked my mouse I use as an attachment so you can have some sort of idea as I explain the layout. “the mouse is a logitech g700” Also you might have to click on the picture to see the layout I made for you
1-3 keys are default
Movement is default – Q -W-E-A-D
R – heal
Alt + E is the number 9 skill
Alt + X Elite skill

I have a 20 USD mouse from best buy that has 4 easy to reach mouse buttons along along the sides. I use those 4 for my F1-F4. I have all my utilities on zxcvb. That’s about it. I read somewhere that someone bound zxcvb so that he has to slide his fingers across to pull off a combo. I loled.
M4 for interact, M5 for wep swap
XCFRE for weapon skills, QZGVT for heal, utilities and elite. Also CTRL + G for guild thing, and WASD for movement. I like double tap to dodge too, so i have that on
Mouse 4 (clicking scroll weel) – Skill 9.
Bottom side mouse button – Skill 7.
Upper side mouse button – Skill 8.
Top, top-corner mouse button – Skill 6
Bottom top-corner mouse button – Skill 5.
Everything else is default.
Gotta change those Top-corners to something useful.
X to turn backwardz…
I use a Naga Hex, so all of my weapon skills, utility skills and my elite are bound to 1-6 and Shift+1-3. WASD movement, dodge Q, jump E, autorun R, Call target T (none of this CTRL+T business – that’s for assisting). Z-V is the profession mechanic. F is interact, TAB is weapon swap.
My most important keybind? Heal on the Space bar. It’s a huge, easy-to-reach key set apart from most of the others, so I never have to worry about hitting it by accident while I’m moving or using skills. Most people have Space set as jump, but I prefer jump with the rest of my movement keys, since it makes it easier to manipulate midair movement, and if I hit it by mistake, consequences are minimal (compared to something like putting a skill on cooldown in a close fight).

You wasted best keys for strafe left / strafe right??? You dont need “Turn Left” “Turn Right” if you have mouse…. Just move strafe to a/d and you can have Q/E for something really important.

Learned to keybind on numpad 15years ago on my first FPS’s, it sticked.
On a side note i was about to post a keyboard image full of 2’s but Kakeru kinda beat me to it.
i just remapped all my abilities 6-0 to Shift+1-5
my laptop keyboard is kinda small so it works and i still run f1-f4 for attunement swaps when i play ele.
Also, I’m of the opinion you dont need fancy gear to be at the top of your game. Investing hundreds of dollars on a nice mouse and keyboard seems silly for a broke guy like me haha.

nostromo.
2 rows of 5
1 row of 4
two thumb buttons.
almost like it was made for gw2.
i do suggest remapping all or most of the keyboard commands to open non combat windows to non text keys.
So that if you miss the chat activation you dont open a bunch of useless windows blocking the screen.
A,D =strafe
Q, E, R = utilities
2,3,4,5. = class mechanic
1 , “four mouse buttons” steel searies GW2 mouse = weapon skills.
C = heal
Mouse wheel click = doge
Is this inefficient in any way?
