Should there be a reveal stealth skill?

Stealth is extremely limited on non-thieves/mesmers.
It’d be like having a skill that removed adrenaline from warriors, or virtues from guardians. Why would you take something that’s only useful in a quarter of your fights?
Sounds nice at a glance, but I don’t think such a skill would benefit players in the long run. As it stands right now, stealth is a mindgame tactic that tests the player’s understanding of their situation and their ability to judge what their opponent is doing. Adding an easy out for a mind game may cause players to rely on this skill as a crutch instead of finding their own way to beat stealth.
Not even worried about what it would do to Thieves as there’s more then one way to be sneaky.

Why?
Stealth only last for 2/5 sec.
By the time you push the “remove stealth” and the Animation is over, then he would of already came out of stealth in the first place.
Now if they at perma stealth in the game, it would make more since.

I think there is really, with ground target AoEs. If you see them cloak, just aoe their location, certain skills such as the ranger’s traps can immolibise the enemy and keep them in place.

They need to just remove the ability to remain stealthed while receiving damage.
A method to reveal a player who has stealthed would certainly open up counter play opportunities for dealing with thieves.
As for those noting that it would be extremely limited in its potential use, that’s kind of the point. If stealth actually is so important to “get rid of” as people claim and whine about, the ability (wouldn’t have to be a skill) would certainly be worth bringing along. But it wouldn’t have to be a skill or ability that only countered stealth. It could be an attribute added to existing skills. As an example, “Fear Me!” could also add “revealed” to any players for double the duration of the fear.
A better idea is, thief has to hit to get into stealth and you can block and stun them.
They need to just remove the ability to remain stealthed while receiving damage.
That would severely cripple thieves to the point that they’d only be able particapate in fights against single targets and be noticably hampered there too. They would have near zero survivablity in PvE and in WvW they’d only be able to fight loners, senteries and dokyaks. In sPvP they’d lose all effective builds other then BS glass cannons.
