Wouldn’t the people with low MMR complain the system unfairly gave them a low MMR? Also, wouldn’t the mid-low level MMR players feed on low MMR players for their MMR.

People should be able to see their own MMR in the PvP panel. But it’s a bad idea to make them be able to see all the MMR.
It’s like everyone should know how much gold they have, but they shouldn’t know how much gold other players have. If you want to know how much gold your friend has, ask them. They have the right to tell you how rich they are or tell you that’s privacy. It’s the same thing for MMR. People should know their MMR and has the right to share it or not, but it shouldn’t be public.

That’s a fair call.
I’d like to be able to see personal MMR, as well as the changes in personal MMR for the last few matches in the history part of the PvP panel. I’d also like to be able to see the average MMR of each team in a match after it ends.
