Fire is AoE. Blood gives healing. What do you feel like you need more of?

Then blood it is.
blood is single target though, but it heals you for around 500 health. and it ignores armor. (toughness + defense)
but fire is aoe, hits 5 targets, but armor (toughness + defense) lowers the damage.
it depends on what you want.
Fire. The health u get is so little and on a cool down. I’d rather have the extra dmg, personally.
Everyone knows that Bloodlust trumps both of these.
Sometimes blood deals more.
Take sigil of blood.
Both have the same cooldown and on paper fire deals more dmg (because it has a slightly higher base dmg and because it is aoe), but blood ignores all defences (armor, protection, weakness, ect) and gives a heal (453 with no healing power).
But in practice blood will deal more dmg in this meta because it ignores all defences, and is far better in a attrition fight (again this meta). Lets say you fight something for 90 seconds, that would mean that the sigil can trigger 18 times in a perfect world. Since there is no way that will happen lets say it triggers only 12 times, that is still 5436 hp restored and a even more dmg (idk the power scaling of the sigil).
Much better than fire any day of the week.
well fire is only good if you are fighting 5 different targets with low armor (toughness + defense) and without protection boon.
I think fire also benefits from your damage modifiers, which means more burst for classes that have huge amounts of them like thief. Thieves also don’t really have to worry about protection when they use their burst since steal is likely to remove it.
Blood can be missed, blocked dodged and so on, and fire sigil trigers pasively on hit, so it hits always.

Because sigils are on crit, it cannot be blocked. else you would not be critting
