Simple suggestion to fix sPvP glory woes.
So if I am leading the pack in points for my team and we are winning; then all of a sudden 79% into winning the game I get autobalanced to the other team( thanks to the new update it isnt 99% now at least) not only dont get the bonus for winning, but I have my glory cut 33%? No thanks, and luckily it will never happen.
I have championed your second idea everytime I have come across glory related threads, it is a no brainer really. My only change would be that the game is bumped up to 10 points and only gained in combat.
There is already a glory bonus to the winner, 25 points I believe. Maybe it should be bumped up a little but 150p is ridiculous. In hot joins winning and losing mean less due to the casual nature of them, instead how well the player does personally is rewarded( sometimes wrongly with the zerg favored system). This emphasis player skill so good players arent brought down by a bad team.
Furthermore, the points for losers are there for a development purpose. It is so that players wont leave a losing game. If you know that you will get a pitiful amount of points why stay when you can hot join into a winning team instead for a large amount of points. Hot joins are for the casuals, tournaments are for the more hardcore crowd.

Did you not notice how EVERY new game you join from the mists is a loss? Because people just leave when the team is losing? Surely reducing glory gained would help remedy this, lol.
Also you already suggested in the same post that we should get a static bonus for winning. There is your incentive to try harder. But losing 33% of my glory because the enemy team has 3 mesmers, 3 thiefs, and 2 guardians? Yeah, no thanks.

No its a 20% increase to your score if you win. Thus its possible to lose while zerging the whole game and still get more glory. If you have 80 points from guarding points and winning, your enemy will probably run around with 200 points from zerging. 20% increase to 80 points? /care, i’ll zerg and take the 200 with a 0% bonus.

So after thinking about it for some time, I feel that the solution is very simple.
Second, node defenders should get a static +5 glory for every 30-45 sec they spend inside a node. This will help to keep entire teams from zerging around, while not giving a huge advantage to defenders.
what if i enter a map without anyone in it? and then capped all points. and then sat on one point until my team reaches 500 points. or worse, i only cap one point and sat there for as long as i’d like, waiting for my glory to pile up?

Okay some good points were brought up that I didn’t think of. I can admit when I am wrong.
To fix people leaving games, put up a deserter debuff ala WoW. I hate to resort to referring to WoW, but if something works, then it deserves a mention here.
The numbers posted above were just example numbers, I should have clarified that. maybe 25% instead of 33% reduction. maybe 100 instead of 150 glory bonus to the winners. I am simply trying to start a discussion with some constructive ideas that, hopefully, can be built upon.
