I admit that I do my fair share of whining when things go wrong, but I never take it out on my team. In fact, if my team is losing and I need a break anyway, then I will leave so my team doesn’t lose pips.

But this guy decided not to be so kind.

We entered the forest, and as soon as we didn’t do exactly what this guy told us to do, he decided to go afk. And instead of leaving, he stayed througout the entire match just to call us idiots and say how glad he is that we would lose.

Despite being 4v5 we managed to get to 495 points, but lost in the end due to the last killing blow.

We asked him several times to leave so we wouldn’t lose pips, but god forbid that he would have to wait a few minutes before his next match.

Why do people do this? And why is it acceptable with no punishment?

I have blocked out all names except for my own.

I saw this kind of attitude many times. The rest of the team doesn’t agree with a player strategy (usually a very bad one), so he decides just afk. Worst of all, we report it with proof at team chat, but anet just doesn’t care.

Unfortunately there are a ton of ragers in pvp now who think they are better than everyone else so when they lose a fight it’s always the team’s fault and they won’t do anything to try and bring the game back after a bad start because they are salty after losing 1 fight.

That type of player is incredibly frustrating. Especially when they call everyone noob, when they are in fact, they least experienced person on the team. And to top it off, they afk.

Aaaand I got teamed up with him again…

Lol i can figure the name of the guy, and i sufered him also

kek. he is at loss just like you are. he might say hes glad youre losing but why would he afk if he wasnt already totally kittened? bet this guy is mad as kitten lol.
also, ik it sucks not much happens to afk players but at least we all know this guy will never improve enough to get out of … well idk what tier this is. basically hes gonna stay a total noob forever until his changes his attitude, cus hes losing more than any of you.

He’s not very good at adapting. Losing mid doesn’t mean you immediately lose the game like that group on ESL stream or whatever. He’s probably a sheep that clung to that mentality cuz a “pro” player did it once. That awful immortal bunker era ended last season so it’s even more possible than before no matter where the scores at.
