Can we get an exclamation mark above peoples heads when they use a skill that takes at least 1second to cast?
Asura right now have a ridiculous advantage over other races, due to their size.
You can’t see their animations, cause they are so small, unless you zoom in all the way.
And in Tpvp combat, or even Spvp, you can’t zoom in, you gotta have a good field of view.
Asura warriors with bull charge, or hundred blades, you can’t even see what they are doing, in the middle of a fight.
Or an asura guardian with hammer knockback.
any class, it’s ridiculous.
Can we just ban the asura race from pvp? If all the gear is equal, everything should remain equal.
Just make everyone in pvp 1 certain height, otherwise with this system right it’s ridiculous.
I do love when I’m fighting against some guy who decided to make a max-sized Norn. I can see their animations being cast from my kitchen.
In paid tournies it makes the most sense to just make all asura, just because of that animation advantage.

Indeed. The funny thing is that many people mentioned this about ranked tournies being fielded by all asura (look at the most popular race choice of all the ‘pro’ streamers currently) simply because you take every advantage you can, no matter how slight. With the game based off of visual cues, just as in every other PvP game unless there’s a reach difference, the smaller race is the pvp’ers race. Better for hiding in terrain, getting lost in the zerg/chaos of battle and of course harder to see animations.
For the esport aspect it’s probably best, especially since you already have forced red/blue coloring on everyone, to force a single size to eliminate any visual cue advantage to be had.
To be honest, I don’t see what the problem was with the skill monitor from GW1.
It’s definately a huge advantage.
Try playing an asura Rifle Warrior versus a Charr/Norn rifle warrior.
MASSIVE Difference. I’ve been able to get off killshots on an asura warrior point blank before they realize what I’m doing lol. This is coming from someone who’s most character’s are asura (because I like them, not for the advantage). My warrior is a charr now.
On the flip side, bigger races get a much better camera distance than asura. It feels claustrophobic on an asura, and especially in downed states.
Guys, stop complaining. All races are equal. I take it for granted, because Anet said that.
Ohh wait…

Yeah, all races definitely equal, except when you can’t see their animations, in a visual queue-based game.
