Guild Wars 2

Just now, 4 separate times in a single 10 minute game, I watched my heal (an instant cast) skill light up (acknowledging that I hit it), and not go off. Spamming the skill 5-6 times, waiting up to 3 seconds before it went off.

I experienced no other latency issues during the game- my ping is monitored and solidly resides between 50-90ms. This wasn’t an issue of split-second timing, where another players skill might have fired just before mine due to the natural latency between separate servers and clients. This was not an instance of after-casts, queued skills, or being stunned/dazed in any way (it failed to go off immediately after a shadowstep) This was just 1-3 seconds of spamming my heal, and watching it wait to go off.

It’s never fun to lose, but its absolutely infuriating to lose because the skills you used at the right time don’t fire. This is not a new issue (though admittedly it was less severe in recent memory). What’s going on? How is this still an issue?

I’ve had an issue similar to this about a week ago. I was connected, I could interact with the world, I could talk, players could see me, everything was normal except none of my abilities would work. Press heal, lights up, nothing. Press 2, same thing. The only way to fix it was a log out and back in, and it fixed all the issues I had with the abilities not responding immediately, and the weird bug I just described.

This has also happened to me. Where I try to use any if my abilities and they don’t work and I had to die before I got them back. Once I died and respawned everything was back to normal. This has happened multiple times although not too often but it definitely is extremely aggregating when it happens. Your teammates see you and think you’re a scrub and the person who killed you thinks likewise.

Same here, got this problem for 2 days.
Couldn’t use skills, everyone walked into a wall or stood still.
When it happends it stays, so I wont be able to do anything the whole time.
I disconnected from A solo Queue today bcs of that. Re-entered and got it again.

I wasn’t downloading and my ping for eu is ~30ms.
Btw, I live in EU.

I think it’s gw2 that causes the problem.

I have experienced a similar issue, when im pushing a skill with the mouse ,
the skill is light up but never fire. Its very frustrating ! xD

Welcome to ranger, happens all the time with pets.

Never had this happen until today, but that doesn’t really count because I am currently under a tornado warning.

similar issue here happend as well: no spell goes off but i can move around, dodge, talk to people in chat and use consumables… just not spells…

have to completely shut down the client and log in back to fix it -_-
