I cant understand how you, Mr. Arenanet can wait for so long when know whats going on.
We have lots custom arenas (EU) advertise this Skyhammer farming and ppl do this all day.

This map have to be disabled and this asap.

People alraedy quitting cause the only thing what they earned in over a year in this pvp was there rank and they worked hard for – but now every Bob can farm it in some days without even PVPing.

YOU Mr. Arenanet say atm to all your PVPers they have wasted all their Time.

Even in SoloQ ppl dont want this map cause clearly no competive map and bugs everywhere

Rank means nothing.

Who cares? People who got themself without these stupid bugs to a high rank. Even if its not that high people are proud of what they did… And now you can sometimes 3 o 1 guys with rank 50~… Because they lag of experience. Doesnt seem it works as intendet.

And yeah NOW rank means nothing … -.-

+ you get four rewards in pvp.
1. Bags
2. Clothes
3. Dye’s
4. Rankfinisher

So the rank fininsher stands out to be the best of these 4 … and you get them with HIGH efort. A good finisher costs about ~ 10€ and now you can get a good finisher for nothing but exploiting that kitten arena…. instead of having a hard time to farm em. So rank means nothing? money means nothing ? skill means nothing? gaming means nothing?

Rank has never meant anything. We have a lot of HJ heroes out there on the same skill level as a rank 20.

For sure, this exploit needs a fix, but the community and dev’s should focus on other things right now.

There are no definite plans as of yet, of course, but this is definitely something they are doing and if you didn’t get the memo, please cf. the last state of the game.
Alright, I’m off to grind as much Honor as possible before the big change happens.

As I’ve said in other threads, this has been going on for a long time and the reason it isn’t fixed is because it’s happening in SPVP.

In PvE bans come quick and things are hotfixed with the swiftness if it impacts the PvE portion or especially the economy. There were perma-bans given to players that found out if you buy a certain item from a karma vendor and turn around and sell that item to a gold vendor, you could turn karma into silver or gold. Those players were perma-banned.

So, again, I can’t state enough how little SPVP means. We are annexed, in our own little instance and nobody is the wiser.

Basically, what happens in the mist, stays in the mist.

And to this point: just wait until that goes live (if it does). The second economy gets involved, that’s where things start to get fixed. But, I foresee instead of the glory farms getting fixed after the change taking place, they will just not implement glory for gold for this reason.

In gw1 there was also a community thing called Red Resign.
It was used to get your pvp title high too with no effort at all.
It was considered cheating by ArenaNet and you could even get banned for doing it.

I haven’t seen any action or any banned players yet for skyhammer farm.
I wish they did…

so PLEASE disable Skyhammer until you find how you can remove this Exploiting.

You better believe someone sporting the title “Ransacker” or “Marauder” title will prolly best you in 90% of the cases

It’s 300k pvp points and over, you guys have no idea how long it takes you to get those points .. 95% of the actual PvE/WvW pop will never get these titles show some respect towards it.

As for the Skyhammer bug they already posted that they will take action it was a dev’s response. So expect it changed soonish.

Surely, ANet has some plan that will allow players to spend the massive amount of glory they’ve been accumulating. Let’s pretend a moment that this plan eventually turns into a Glory to Gold or Glory to Gems conversion – now we’ve got a bunch of players who are going to have a detrimental effect on the games economy (and ANets real money cash flow) thanks to this cheating.

Glory to gold likely isn’t going to happen, but that was just an example – people farming glory by cheating are just going to weaken any attempts Anet makes at making glory actually useful for something.

Well not really an exploit…anet gave ppl this stupid map with an istant-death mechanic and ppl are just playing it the fastest way, so yes…stop this lame thing but blame fail choices of giving the possibility of doing this. Btw for what i saw it actually requires a bit of coordination since evryone must attack at the same time…dunno how to say it but, well…it requires more skills and coordination than spamming grenades on hotjoin zergs all day…at least you must play for the team (And for the opposite one too) there….lol

Sad but true even this lame glory farm is more challenging than hotzerg…..nough said…

Anet should just make it easier to get rank and then people wouldn’t need to farm. 1-80 in pve is easy, why not pvp?

imagine the farming when legendaries get added to sPVP that might require glory to obtain

Pvp is not the same as pve :/
Pvp rewards were supposed to be something that you could lord over the dirty pveer’s..

That stopped being the case 3 months after release though, since no one cares about rank.

Simple fix = Limit amount of glory per match to 200 ; remove /matchend.
or.. Add a penalty for dieing (lol I would not actually want this)

i agree, it’s beyond pathetic on A-nets part that they have not done anything about it for so long.

it is not just skyhammer, you can naked farm on any map and reset every few minute.

You’re missing the point.

Let’s pretend this was gold – people would be furious (and rightly so), that people were basically cheating to get free gold.

Now glory at the moment is pretty useless – but hopefully, Anet has some plan to do something that makes glory worth spending…kind of like gold. Then everyone will suddenly care about these people cheating, and rightfully so.

only people who aren’t against it are the ones exploiting it =P

and yeah i agree kirito, if they stop rank points on skyhammer then they’ll just move to whatever the next map with the biggest cliff to jump off.

known exploiters who do this a ton should be at least given a temp ban/warning to show that A-net is boss. (while they find a solution to fix this)

Anet needs to fix a lot of other bs b4 they have a “plan” for glory from spvp lol… that is the least of there worries for a dying spvp. O and btw you should all watch the vid in the locked thread guy spreads truth around yet anet locks it… funny.

they already are in the next patch. so stop

I doubt they will even ban people for this (unless there are EXTREME cases), giving that they want E-Sports sooo much and banning people wouldn’t help their cause by making the least played game type even more underpopulated.
