I’m mostly calm person, but… how can i get 6x from 8 games in solo arena SKYHAMMER? I really dislike this map and your great system force me to play it so often that it made me to write a QQ post here…

I know, this is pointless post but i just had to write it….

IMO it got bugged today and put skyhammer up alot more often than expected

12/18 matches on sky hammer this afternoon (3 Oct 2013)
Was noticing a similar pattern yesterday. Lots and lots of skyhammer (which is disappointing considering how universally hated the map is).

1/8 game today and 0/5 yesterday.

played 5 games yesterday, 4 were skyhammer

When I use “Play Now” button Skyhammer is prolly 90% of time my starting map.
I thought that the script you guys use to put players in was fixed to do that – so all players could knew the new map. It is almost impossible for me to get Forest of Niflhel or Legacy of the Foefire as a starter map. Hope it helps someone.

Add to that, 6 of the f***ing 8 games were 4vs5 and two were against 3 necros 1 engi and 1 guardian.

il vote remove shyhammer in tpvp. that map only fun in spvp 8v8

I’ve been having Sky Hammer come up an unbelievably high percentage of the time for awhile, I just assumed they had it more heavily weighted in the rotation since it was the newest map. No matter the reason, it is annoying to get the same map over and over and over…….

No skyhammer in the last 10 matches.

I think others experience this issues because helseth came back. And the map haunts him.

Yesterday I did 23 Solo Q matches, over half were skyhammer and about 5 were temple.

Today I’ve done 5 and 3 were skyhammer, 1 kyhlo, 1 temple.

I streamed all 23 matches yesterday, it would take some time but I can go through and give you exact numbers if you want.

0 of the 3 I did yesterday were Skyhammers.

Had 3 out of 3 Skyhammer like 2 days ago. Luckily I don’t dislike the map as immensely anymore as I did originally or I would have blown a fuse.

I played a lot yesterday and didn’t get an abnormal amount of Skyhammer overall.

But once I did get my first Skyhammer I got it 4 consecutive times.

Maybe there’s something odd about the algorithm that increases the chance if you’ve already had Skyhammer.

Playing since 1st for monthlies. So far only dailies which means 3×3=9 matches over the last 3 days. So far most of the time Foefire and Kyhlo(maps I don’t like). But it’s random. I’m sure later I might get some other maps and then them a few times like 2 out of 3 matches.

No Skyhammer.

Edit: Yeah. Algorith might be strange. While I did not get Skyhammer 4 times like Dee Jay I’m often seeing this for other maps. Maybe not 4 times in a row but like out oft 5-6 matches 3-4 times one same map… days later it is some other map that seems to be more often.

Every ride the lightning and fiery greatsword sends me flying off the side because of stealthed players.

Temple of the Silent Storm also seems to proc a lot in Team Arena, but that might just be my imagination.

I had skyhammer 4 times in a row. Doesnt feel random at all. and the map rotation is almost predictable skyhammer skyhammer skyhammer skyhammer temple forest khylo legacy. then skyhammer skyhammer skyhammer.

I envy you. Really, I do.

I doubt its bugged. But just to be on the safe side I would remove skyhammer from the rotation. Maybe put it back in by 2015 we when have enough data to know it is random

They probably didn’t get it much more than other maps. They just hate playing Skyhammer so much due to it being an absolute piece of unbalanced kitten that it stuck out in their minds every time they did.

The rest of the players 9/10 are completely okay with it.

It’s the least played because people leave the map immediately when it pops, unless they’re knockback/pull spec.

i dont mind skyhammer map.
It doesnt bother me..
It would be cool if they added 50 more pvp maps in game… Because why not ?

I am. One of topics below.

Ally can you have the programmers look into this again? I’m seeing an inrodinate amount of skyhammer and haven’t had a Forest or Foefire pop in my last 25 matches. It’s been 75% skyhammer + spirit watch with an occasional khylo.

The real reason why you click Play Now and it mostly jumps to Sky Hammer: people leave the map. I personally leave the game if it gets to Sky Hammer, and I know a lot of people do so. Which means, when you press Play Now, most of the “not full” games are Sky Hammer, and you get assigned into it. People stay in other maps, so there is less chance you can get into them.

While I have a statiscally small sample of solo quing, about only 18 tournies since returning. I have had skyhammer for about 5 of them, but that’s hardly indicates anything. I will keep an eye however.

I would be happy if it were removed from solo queue at the very least. At least in hot join I can freely leave when it pops. Just utterly hate this map. Would rather play Raid than this.

just remove the kitten map from the game or at least the arena section and you will doing great favor to all pvp players you already lost to many players cause you dont do anything about pvp so remove the kitten map at least

your experience is bad. At this forum 1/3 players like it, see it at poll. And in whole game it will be 1/2, because all criers go and sit at forums, while other satisfied peple even don’t open it.

Just going to point out to Berserkeremir that this post is 8 months old and this problem has been solved long ago.

I havent spoken to a single decent player that enjoys skyhammer (even if they dominate on it like i do).

With that in mind, just keep it in hotjoin.

I hate that map as well, but recently I realized something
If you are in an organized team in team arena you have to be really grateful for that map, cause it drives lot of solo queue ppl to team queue.

Yesterday I played with my guild, and they are not the best players out there, but we won 10 out of 10 games and not even close sometimes, and else our win rate never goes below 80%.
And the reason for that is simply because a lot of ppl that usually solo queue do team queue while being solo.
And the reasons for that are the highest reward points on the one hand and certainly skyhammer on the other.
