It’s not the first time I’m noticing the common instance of Necros abusing “fear” spells on the Skyhammer. Sometimes it comes to a simple “camping” in the sweet spots with narrow edges when the enemy have pretty much 1-2 seconds to use somekind of stunbreaker (concidering if he has any atm) to stay alive, otherwise it’s an instant kill. Attached is a screen of one of those spots where some poorminded fellow stood for the duration of whole match pretty much waiting for someone to pass by.

Yes, I understand, it’s a valid option to spam fear and use map geography but I’m just not sure if it is fair for some classes to have this kind of advantage over the others. I hate Skyhammer because in the end it all comes down to a mass knockbacks/fear/etc. which is not fun at all.. It’s ok for some kind of PvE arena map which spawned as a living story addition but for proper PvP – NO.
I’d like to see the option to ban this map from my solo tournament map roster.

Most classes have some source of CC that can do the same thing if they want to use it.

Skyhammer sucks, yes.

But how did that guy abuse fear? If you died on the ledge without falling off, then it would have played out just as if he feared you anywhere. Like Bhawb said though, the entire place is just cheese specs spamming pushbacks to get free kills and make people rage

I’m assuming its just showing the guy camping that location to “abuse” fear to get easy kills, since people might not see him as they go by that location, and he’d see and chain fear them off from there.

I was trolled by a necro too, and as far as I know, necros have an easy access to Fear.
I could break the fear, but I was surprised that my character just fell out of the map ( it happened in like 1-2 secs).
I guess that’s because I came back to the game a few days ago but since the first time I played on this map I just hate it. It’s like a Super Mario fail. Ranged classes have it easy on this map imo.

The majority of classes have access to similar mechanics, many of which are much harder to respond to than fear. You say you have 1-2 seconds to react before you fall off the edge. If it takes you 1-2 seconds to react to a CC then you’re not exactly the demographic which should be offering suggestions for balance changes.

Skyhammer is a gimmick map. There is a reason it was taken off the Team Arena rotation. Bring stability and/or your own pushbacks/launches or skip and go to the next map.
