Why is Skyhammer in Solo Queue?

After the “fix”, still the same problems. LoS at mid, hammer OP, hammer platform too small, knockbacks are the play-style (lame).

Every time I enter it, someone complains, and rightfully so.

The amount of times I’ve used Withdraw to my death because I didn’t have the time to reposition before using it is insane, not to mention the amount of times I’ve just activated a panel, ran behind it, then used Scorpion Wire to kill someone with almost no skill involved (or been killed in a similar fashion).

Honestly, the map is terrible for competitive play (especially with the undodgeable-point-and-click-12k-damage secondary objective… argh), and I still fail to understand why it’s in SoloQ when it was removed from TeamQ.

At the very least it would be nice to have an Anet dev (Josh? Justin?) actually give us a reason why they want to try and make it work in SoloQ instead of just ignoring the daily threads made about it. The same goes for commenting on Skyhammer farmers and the birthday gifts and why nothing has been done despite them destroying the value of ranks and glory.

the point of skyhammer was so that people wouldn’t just take cookie cutter builds into pvp. you’re supposed to change your build accordingly based on the map. (dont get me wrong i dont think skyhammer is a competitive map either; its super troll…but still thats kind of the reason)

Remove from Solo Queue and leave it in Hotjoin = Everybody Wins.

It’s already not on the Team Queue pool, why must Solo Queue be treated differently?

people dont even want this in hotjoin^^ – i played this week some hotjoins and always when skyhammer comes in rotation half the players are gone and joined other servers

I don’t see a reason why they make a leaderboard for solo queue and still keep in maps like Skyhammer and Spirit Watch that lack competitive value and are frustrating to play on. I don’t play solo queue because I fear I could get that map.

yeah, when skyhammer pops up or that one with underwater, people just leave.
