As much as I like the graveyard…. on maps like khylo/forest this wouldn’t be possible.
Maybe on Temple or newer map we could have larger mid circles.. and that would be good.
As someone with experience playing a bunker, I can tell you that graveyard is very easy to survive on because of its size. I love the fights there for the reasons you mention, but if all three points on a map were like that, it wouldn’t go well.
It might be fun to have a big mid point on other maps as well, though. Graveyard really adds importance to the midfights because it’s so hard to neutralize once it gets capped.
No. The strength of bunkers needs to be decreased not increased. The larger the point the harder they are to kill. Running around like a chicken with your head cut off and not even attacking half the time is already rewarded too much. Make some changes that tone down the effectiveness of bunkers and maybe then.
I really don’t think larger points favour bunkers. I mean thinking of the most common bunker professions like guardians and engineers, they both lose out. Engis put out a lot of aoe, and bigger points mean you don’t have to sit there and eat it in the face in order to contest the point. And those guardian area-denial skills that stop you from getting onto the point to contest it completely become much easier to avoid.
I guess spirit rangers are the only commonly-played bunker build that does better on graveyard: greater area means it’s harder to aoe their spirits down, and gives the ranger more space to kite and evade.
