Getting pretty much fed up with all this permaCC-auto-passive-AI stuff going on in PvP currently. If it’s not kittenly unkillable mesmer, then it’s a bunker ranger druid with a pet that deals more damage than unrelenting assault on my revenant alt and shjit ton of immobilize, daze and blind Along with godlike elementalist with their shiny diamond skin…just ridiculous. Does stability even make sense too? I have been playing this game for 5 months so far and I heard stability used to be working in another way providing duration rather then stacks, why the hell did the devs change that?
Scratched my way out to diamond on my thief and oh god…that crystallized salt me and my friend necro gathered so far, think I never been so emotionally devastated in any free to play mmo pvp with things like pay-to-win gear as I am not on my thief. I am not complaining about my class being weak (it’s very high risk – great reward class imo) but rather shocked by the ammount of passive procs and skill kits (gives an impression the balancing wasome classes got…like…maybe just press one button and let the game play itself?
Not to mention all those queue times I had last two days, 1h and 12m record just nailed it. Guildies from lower divisions reported they had up to 30 mins queue times too, those that didn’t give up and went to play something else yet. Thus I can naturally assume it may be connected to general frustration by “meta cancer” among players. So yeah, any particular changes comming soon that might help against class stacking/perma cc/burst condition dot? Separation of sPvP from PvE perhalps?

The devs changed stability from what it was, because CC wasn’t as prevalent then.
So blowing through enough CC to actually get a stun was actually a costly endeavor.

However, there’s a few classes that can apply a lot of burst CC for cheap now. So the stacks don’t make as much sense.

On the flip side… You pretty much need that CC to even have a chance at killing some of these classes with ridiculous amounts of sustain, on top of stun breaks.

On top of all that, you have burst condi, which is pretty much your direct counter to any class with a significant amount of damage.
You can’t clear condi that basically kills you in .5 of a femto second. So carrying condi clears is a moot point.

Hopefully they’ll open a CDI for the January patch, and we can have a real conversation with the devs on how to fix things.

CC was changed because someone could pop a thirty second stab (ranger elite) and be unable to be CC’d the whole time. The only thing that countered it was a boonstrip- which means one boonstrip and the ability is useless. So it was either very OP or UP, and not a very good mechanic.

No point for making a CDI then wait till it gets to 1500 comments THAN ignore it completely…

I do not want any CDI…

In the case the balancing team has no idea AT ALL how to sort this out they MUST leave.

It’s just: we had betas we gave feedback…

it’s live now so we are giving them feedback every seconds….

if ANET will ask me now to participate in a CDI (which takes a few month…) I would go on the streets and hunt down every cat I find… Less kitten = better game.

We already told them! If they screw it up again then sorry pal! You should get a nice jobseeker-allowance there while looking for a new job….

Or just keep it up and wave that flag (ANET Balancing Team)….

I just fail to understand how did they come to this about stability. They basically left it to be consumable by each tick of incomming CC, yet let some powers that apply CC each second or less. And to add to elementalist diamond skinned master-race hate, why is one of the most annoying CCs is not in fact CC? I don’t say the team behind balancing should be fired but everything now is in such a bizzarre state, separation of spvp from pve is necessary.

The passive procs and all tons of passive stability really makes the game frustrating to me.
