So do people actually like fighting
the most productive builds for pvp (player v point) contribute to the ultimate deciding factor, points (score). so I suppose its more like point (capture) vs point (score).
You can kill anything in this game… Unless you approach it blindly and just fling your skills at it without thought of countering their actual moves.
Tip: bring some poison and interrupt their heal (its the one where they yell and put their arm in the air)
I’ve stayed at this party entirely too long
interrupt their heal (its the one where they yell and put their arm in the air)
I was healing myself all day yesterday.

There is a reason most mesmers use blink/portal instead of a damage trait – because a wise warrior doesn’t fight, he captures points!
(Go play colloseum, there it is more about fighting)
Yeah, they like fighting. They like winning too.

Oh and some people make 1vs1 turnaments on private servers , i am sure those love fair fights
I go point to point on my Nec chasing kills when my allies can’t kill anything in a timely fashion. (they have 1 minute or longer fights, they should just end it quickly) So if you have trouble downing the bunkers, try a Necro.
(my tier doesn’t focus necros lol but I am where I belong apparently)

Go play a MOBA if you love fights so much. GW2 is about camping points, Player vs Door, and Points per Tick and running away from fights to avoid your enemies from having a chance of getting those I’ve said prior, and Points per Kill.
MOBAs are all about fighting %100 about fighting, go play those if that’s what you want.
But at least I admit it!

I thought the thread was asking if people enjoy fighting bunkers and healbots?
….. And Elementalist.
u do understand its a conquest mode. and holding point is more important than killing someone. bunkers are here to stay.
Black Gate
Ruthless Legend
I like fighting. In fact I prefer fighting.
But if I come to your point on my Mesmer and the matchup is bad, I’m just going to drop my portal and got help my team.
That being said, I don’t really like conquest. =/ but I’d prefer to win, and not have my team yell at me.
Balance the matchups and give us 1v1s, 2v2s, and 3v3s plz.
“Maybe I was the illusion all along!”
heal bots and bunker teams? serious question….
No, but there is no other option for a Druid. I love using Remorseless Druid but a noob can accidentally get a kill in 1s when using DH, thief, warrior or Mesmer and I need to outplay them for about 20s to get the same result.
Ranger damage builds suck.
Illustrious Exhausted Primordial Legendary Druid, and Mesmer for fun

If you can annoy someone in a fight, to a point that they consider giving up and leaving, you’ve won! It’s boring true, but it works.

ANet will never put in a official 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or even a 4v4 ranked modes into PvP.
ANet knows the moment they do they can kiss their 5v5 bye bye because only the players their are paying to play it would play it. Everyone else will be just doing the more competitive-ish modes. So long queue times and absence of content for their paid ESL squad to farm and publish on youtube.
Funny thing is that in the wake of the terrible year of PvP in GW2. Smite released has the start of Season 4 balance work, that was in response to the problems being faced in GW2 atm.
Arena Net is showing other willing devs, how not to run their PvP. And they are very much watching and listening, some probable are even playing.
I expect this post to be taking down shortly, but enjoy while it’s up https://www.smitegame.com/new-in-smite-season-four-4-1-patch-notes/
You want real PvP, you have to go to the places that has real PvP.
You want a circus, you then have to go to the places that is a circus.

There is absolutely no comparison between the quality of PvP from a MMORPG and a PvP game, It’s like night and day.

Problem is, I would have preferred my grinding + micro-transactions for cosmetics, and a personalized character to be the face of my PvP.
Honestly, I saw the history of GW1 and didn’t want to deal with the gear treadmill of WoW, and that was why I even bought into this game. But it’s the least fun 5v5 game on the market with an even worse game type given the TTK, and personally I just want to kill players on an even footing. (again with a fully personalized character.)
I hate the arguments of stagnation against 1v1s, considering this game has had the same meta with just different faces at the front since release, and fighting games which still have subtle counter picks are actually considered E-sports because of viewership… Which is another problem we have here.
To the topic though: I absolutely love fighting. But I’m discouraged from doing so in a lot of circumstances. Jokes on me for buying into this game, and no one is forcing me to stay. (Despite the work put into my accounts assets, gained over time with hopes things would change.) But there is an added bit of frustration seeing the potential being lost on conquest.

lol. You have been throwing some serious Smite advertisement lately.
I’ve tried MOBAs, but they’re just not my style personally. I’d rather settle for lower expectations in PvP playing a typical MMORPG.
To be honest I like it sometimes. I run an interrupt build. So for me it’s really a fun challenge to lock them down and kill them through interrupts. But if it’s like a class ridiculously high stability uptime, then i don’t like it.

Well holding points is important too. Just capturing it and losing secs later is no very effective.
