Wow, they put my ranger’s name in their message of the day. Anyway, since they introduced custom arenas I was against them giving any rank at all. It’s just bad and can be exploited so easily.

Kill hotjoin.
Keep CA’s for training/whatever the community wants to do in it. But do not give it any rewards.

Give us unranked queue.
Give us ladders/seasons.
Give us pvp specific rewards (not just backpacks).

I don’t think even those of us who think lowering total rank points needed to get 80 want this…. I mean how can this not be a kittening exploit, oh ya its not hurting Mr JS’s baby economy so it doesn’t matter.

I think it would be both faster AND more enjoyable to play actual teamQ matches and get better. These people are grinding rank, which is worth….e – peen? What do you want nerfed, besides people’s stupidity?

Nothing will happen to them any more than anything happened to SH farmers when they were able to AoE then drop to their doom to farm quick rank points.

Your analogy is flawed because err, no one’s life is at risk here. The severity of the situation is very relevant. Furthermore, even if we pretend your analogy is fair, people who have done some terrible things get out of jail early for good behavior.

The point is that ANet is improving their communication and intervention on situations like this with the tech that enables them to and the forum communication to get it done. That kind of improvement is great.

Why aren’t the abusers getting punished? It’s Skyhammer all over again?! ppl that went from rank 1 to 50+ in a couple of weeks and got away with it…

I have rank 40 acquired by playing almost exclusively in solo arenas, playing just enough to get 4 daily achievements.

I would not mind getting back to 0 and having to start all over again if that was the only way for farmers to lose the rank they got by manipulating matches.

I’d rather punish that behavior, then get from scratch a rank that will amount to something, that letting them get away with it and everyone having a rank that is devoid of meaning because no one knows if it was farmed or not.

This made me happy..
The people who exploited won’t get any repercussion sadly, but how about we give all these people who ranked up on skyhammer a special little icon when in pvp, something like the support gnashblade and kiel button, but then permanent.
