As much as I know, they will run both types of paids, 1vs1- and 8-team-paids.
Matchmaking has been implemented for testing today as much as I heard from others.
I can also undermine it through having faced mostly the same teams in paids today.
They will probably have the Matchmaking-System fully implemented with the next patch as much as I guess. What I would also like to see is a ranking system but hopefully it comes down to Win:Lose-Ratios because Ranks and QPs are worse indicators for someone’s level of skill or overall performance.
So, summed up, no worries. The developers are smart enough to see what consequences would come if they implement the old system.
Whats with people claiming match making has been implimented?. I havnt seen or heard an official source on this. SEems to be speculation.
Getting the same team over and over ,seems to be what its based on. But ive gotten the same team over and over even when 15 ranks different.
I think its either because your done at same time, Q at same time. OR some sort of bug that causes one to get same team over and over.
Maybe im missing something, i didnt do paids today, so maybe it changed.
Or maybe someone has an official source. Still be nice to know how they are working out that a matchmaking system is being tested.
It did change on the 1st of February. ( Various people told me of waiting times, facing same teams, etc. )
And when Matchmaking goes live I hope the differ between team/guild-rating and solo-rating. Both should be calculated seperated from each, so people do not avoid playing with friends or w/e due to losing their rating.
Question is though how they want it to be counted as team/guild-rating in case they do it like this.
P.S.: I am not sure how it calculates if you pug though, cause I faced lower rank players while pugging.
No idea what u are talking about, i only know that with this 1 round tournament mode we can finally have fun in tournaments too, few ppl wanted to wait half an hour for the queue, so less and less ppl were willing to get into a tournament.
Now, with 1 round matches lot more ppl are willing to try it out leading to almost no wait time and more fun.
They definitely have to keep it going, and maybe add tournaments with more rounds as sort of pvp events (weekly/monthly tournament)
