Q:
PvP modes are the “endgame” in every MMO.
Stop failing at PvE, start fixing PvP/WvW. Thank you.
Q:
Now that PvP officially has no reward/progression for an indefinite amount of time, what are you doing?
Let’s try to keep this simple, copy and paste one of these answers (preferably), or write your own SMALL one.
No massive posts please :p (of course it will happen though)
1) Still playing PvP, I’ll have the dragon emote in 5 years.
2) Playing PvE
3) Playing WvW
4) Playing PvE/WvW
5) Playing other games
6) Uninstalled GW2 and looking for a new PvP game to play
7) Playing the forums. Player vs Forum/Developer is the real PvP.
8) Lost faith in the game industry, sold my computer, bought a Mac cause I’m a casual now, also I became a stripper.
Myself, 2) Playing PvE. Though Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD is out, will probably be playing that for a while.
A:
You forgot the 9):
after Point 6) noticing that GW2 has the best gameplay that any MMO offers, reinstalling it and beginning to rage again because of all the Points that are mentioned in the Forum everywhere – this results in 6).
6)9)6)9)… its a circle.
Playing the forums. Player vs Forum/Developer is the real PvP
5) Playing other games

gw1 RA.
Surprisingly there are more people there and the rewards are pretty fantastic XD
Homework and Starcraft 2, its so good to play a balanced game and homework is more fun then the current meta
May the feature patch be glorious
1. Still playing PvP but only a few hours a night and in HotJoin
2. Running around unlocking maps
3. Gearing up to play WildStar (pre order starts today and beta is this weekend).
I log in to do my daily, talk to friends and guildies for a bit. Go back to playing Titanfall.
2) Playing PvE (dailies and one or two dungeons)
5) Playing other games
Writing a report on what are the most effective actions you can take to help clinically depressed patients as a psychologist working in a team with psychiatrist. Actually quite ironic topic when I think about it, since the development of gw2 pvp may actually cause depression in some cases.
Also playing counter-strike for pvp, stopped playing gw2.

This patch has made me consider uninstalling this game for the first time.
I’m seriously considering it, not because things haven’t been fixed yet, but because of the removal.
I think it speaks volumes about the company: removing gameplay incentive from their players, for any duration, simply states they don’t care about keeping you engaged.

100% agree
Same thoughts on deleting the game from my PC
Depression has set in!
7) Players vs Devs gameplay is genuinely more entertaining than anything this game has to offer. This is why I still hang around here even though my GW2.exe shortcut is collecting dust.
+
5) Bought a PS3 a week ago, enjoying the hell out of it.

Didn’t you quit pvp back in like december?

gw1 RA.

GW1 RA was it on a stick! I probably sunk thousands of hours into it. It was fun as all get all
- doing pvp only for daily
- playing LoL which has actual pvp system
so 1), 5), 7)
WvW and in particular GvG.
GvG > PvP
4) Playing PvE/WvW (more on the WvW)
5) Playing other games
uninstalled in December

I gonna tell you a little story:
I stoped playing GW2 pvp in the beginning January, as I was very busy a this time. However, the pause wasn’t that hard as the state of pvp sucked at this time
At the end of February, i started to have more time again.
I thought “Hey! I haven’t played for a long time and it’s bin an eternity since the last pvp update. I’m sure, there was already a pvp patch”.
So I went to the forums, looking up the changes they made. I searched…and searched…and searched.
Finally, I realized, there was no patch. This made me so frustraded, I didn’t even come back. There was nothing interesting would have liked to have again.
Thus, instead of playing, the only GW2 related thing I do, is haunting the forums desperately hoping for something to happen.
TLDR:
7 & maybe 8, as long as I don’t have to buy a Mac.

I’ve taken up golf (really).
Seriously, with no rewards any more to log in I see no sense in playing at all. Guess its time for something non-computer related for a while.
Im trying to fix my computer!
6) Uninstalled GW2 and looking for a new PvP game to play
7) Playing the forums. Player vs Forum/Developer is the real PvP.
Reinstalled GW1, playing with new builds in RA. Graphics look nice now on my super fast computer compared to what I had 6/7 years ago. =) GW2 = Dead in the water like RIM blackberry. Quote me on this. To poster that said getting ready for Wildstar, why sink more money into company that failed with such a great potential product as GW2? GW1 fabulous PvP, talked about all over internet in comparison with leading MMORPG of time(WoW), thought to be much better, all of a sudden PvP in GW2 flop city. Too weird.
gw1 RA.

balthasar points to spend on nothing cause there is nobody buying zkeys or using zkeys to open for more useless skins u dont need? srsly i see no difference related to rewards to actual pvp.
1) for the daily / or to fill my locker with the rest of glory i have
5) age of wushu
Playing Assassin’s Creed IV and getting a strange hankering for Huttball (SWTOR PvP mode).
3 (mainly just when I stream now), 5 (heavily), 7 (I gave up on this long ago).
7) Playing the forums. Player vs Forum/Developer is the real PvP.
A mix of wvw and playing other games.
I really hope another mmo with pvp that’s actually supported by the developing company not just 2 or 3 guys within that company comes out soon.

There’s actually plenty of people buying zkeys. If you want to put it in this perspective, though, anything pixel related can be interpreted as meaningless. Your comments basically lead to any time spent playing a game is a waste of life, when really people just do what they enjoy and gw1 GREATLY compensates its pvp players ten fold more than this game does.
They even released purchasable cape trims in that game. I’m looking for a seller, actually. You know, with the zkeys and gladiator strongboxes no one is buying that I converted into ecto.
4) Playing PvE/WvW
I actually never bothered before, and it’s quite fun! Jumping puzzles are fun and some of the maps, views and artwork are simply amazing. Just don’t expect a big dynamic challenge and it becomes instantly more enjoyable. In terms of challenge, I feel PvE is usually too static and predictable and WvW too dependent on numbers. But yeah they have their charms and I’m just gonna enjoy this and not wait too desperately for PvP stuff to come.
gw1 RA.

Ughhh, so jelly. To this day, I regret giving my account to a friend. RA was too addictive.

I can’t believe how many skills they changed in gw1 o: a lot of the classes feel completely different based on what they changed. Really interesting.
and LOL I was doing a hotjoin today to see how it was and saw THREE players over rank 55 that I know tourney constantly. SO WEIRD. hotjoin = new competitive arena…. trolololol
5) Playing other games
dota, the walking dead season 1-2 (man that game is AWESOME). heartstone and some other hundred games i have left unfinished on steam.
I’ll just pause gw2, and we’ll see, i may come back if they at least put rewards and change this so old meta.
I’m spending most of my time watching RP.
just doing dailies and logging off so hotjoin and pve/wvw
getting wasted. jesus christ i’, drunk,
I’m spending most of my time watching RP.
wat
I’m spending most of my time watching RP.

Mostly doing hotjoin and raging at 3thieves 3 mesmers 2 warriors on each team
gw1 RA.
Surprisingly there are more people there and the rewards are pretty fantastic XD
Might have to check that out.
And i’m on the forums, that rarely happens.
1) not actively playing PvP since finished PvP monthly
2) finish PvE daily, chat with guild members, log off
3) waiting for WvW season 2
5) looting castles in the mighty quest for epic loot
6) some casual PvP with guild members if they asked
7) Playing the forums.

LOL! I love when people catch these. They really are hilarious. Kinda like when the dev called out a player in his own thread saying that he hadn’t had the 4v5’s he claimed he had. Love em.
Anyways, I’m currently trying to finish world completion still. I just need to get it over with and I’m finally at around 70%. I also have been playing Titanfall everytime I need a slight break from the game but unfortunately Titanfall isn’t near what it was all hyped up to be, meh. But GW2>all atm so really just killing time with something productive like world completion for this patch to come and change my Ele game up and hopefully some other classes/builds. We shall see.
I’m going to be a WvW hero once my Curie WvW Esport Drive gets enough charity funding.
