So what is the GW 2 meta?
My guess:
3 mesmers
1 guardian
1 thief
But seriously, it should really be all about player skill.
’’standard’’ composition in EU is:
Ele
Mesmer
Guardian
Thief
Necromancer
Ele with 30points in water that stays 90% of the time in enemy close point
Shatter mesmer that holds close point with portal and moves to mid for a timewarp
Guardian bunkering mid
Glass canon thief
Wells necromancer with rezz utility
All the tryhards in free tourneys go with OP mes/ele/guard/sin/necro
They do the same in paids.
It’s just sad they farm pugs in frees with that.

why dont u use the same build if you know that well the composition?

Because I refuse to run lame gimmick builds people would get so trashed in GW1 for having that gimmicky playstyle but I guess people in this game are different. There is way less honour in games.
So pretty much the class specific builds everyone including the “so called crybabys”, and “Top Players” say are the strongest/out of balanced with the rest (minus the necro), which both simultaneous create super long fights or super short fights, which are from the majority of people/posts I read are least interesting watch?
Not only that these builds are most frustrating and least enjoyable to deal with in Spvp. Something seems really off about this……. ANET????

why dont u use the same build ikittennow that well the composition?
Thing is that you don’t learn anything by doing the same over and over, especially here. Simply camping 2 shrines with a guardian and a portal mesmer, while the ele is rushing/tanking the 3rd one, is enough to beat 90 % of random teams.
However, the problem for me is clearly the capping system which reduces all my tactics to zero when facing a guild team as a random team. It’s like the match is over if we lost the 1st battle on keep/graveyard/clock.. That’s in my opinion the problem, and not especially the build guilds are running..

how many QP have you?
if what you say is right, running that composition you should win every single match, even in paid. so you should be at high QP, am i right?
because as you state, player skill is not required. just that composition.
ok. don’t leave your world pls.
I’m talking about free tournaments, because i believe it’s what Rezz was talking about.I don’t see where i mentionned paid tournaments in my post.
Player skill isn’t required when it’s about facing randoms yes, because camping shrine is sufficient. This doesn’t imply players doing it have necessarly no skill..
