For people who just missed it, the livestream preview was up just and now and showed the new Team and Solo Arena features. Also one dev confirmed that Solo is only solo (no duo), and Team Arena will essentially be the old system as it was, including the old leaderboards, with the addition of random map rotations. This means that Team Arena will also include duo queue as well as 3/4-man team queue, from what I understood. I just don’t understand how they would fill up a 4-man team if there’s no individual queue for Team Arena?

Also, the Wallet and Finishers are nice additions, even for us PvP’ers.

Solo is PURE solo. No duos.

I think it would be a duo team is matched up with a triple team. But that would probably make the queue a lot longer.

If the team arena will come with the current player ladder, this sucks imo. There should be a team ladder as well, because with the current system you arent able to guest or to play with friends without being afraid of rating loss..

the best part on the stream was when none of the 3 people demo-ing had ever stepped into the mists. i dont blame them individually but as a whole, now i see why spvp is neglected.

I am happy about soloq button actually functioning now and the permanent finishers so i can waste more money on blacklion. Honestly tho that pve arena is looking sweet, now im scrambling for a reason to play spvp(like i was 6 months ago)

Did they specifically say they had never entered the mists? Elixabeth sounded like she knew where everything was and what they were doing.

Also, we couldn’t really judge from the preview, but it would be an even better patch for PVP if the toning down of effects in pvp would work well and if we could get some more toning down in the areas of AoE and condi spamming. Then, my friends, I think we could be in heaven by tomorrow.

No, that’s not how it will work. Team 1 would never face team 2, it will face another team made up of SoloQ players. Team 2 could face a full premade or a duo+triple q team in most cases. Seems allright by me.
