Should I even be here? I mean I was lucky to have a good teams for a few days straight to make it into diamond, but I’m back to the usual 3 wins per 10 games again…

Just getting wrecked left and right ever since getting into Diamond (although at the same time I finally made it into diamond after trying for over a month)

Or maybe my current mmr just pairs me with players that previously abused the system to get into Diamond and I can’t get out?

I know there are bad Diamond players, but day after day getting paired up with them? is my matchmaking rng that bad?

Granted it took me a month to get to Diamond, I can’t even imagine solo’qing to legendary. I can only hope Season 2 things will be better, but I will hold my breath until then.

Most people won’t even make it to Diamond, and even fewer will make it to Legendary. It’s just like most people not gonna get over 30k AP after 3 years. Just accept it and move on with life.

And a lot of the people who reached diamond/legendary decided to be happy with that achievement, quit PvP for the season, and moved on to other aspects of the game.

I guess “wanting to get better” and “solo’q” is a oxymoron in itself.

I has the same experience when I first got to diamond. It took me a week or so to even get out of the first tier because of the constant losing I experienced and I was playing about 15 games/day even then. After that I started to make a bit of progress and I slowly started to gain tiers. At one point I got 3 pips away from legendary but then I had an awful losing streak and went all the way back to tier 1. Instead of giving up I just continued to play 15-20 games per day and just hope I got lucky from there (I only had a week of the season left after that. Following a really good run of results I finally got to legendary 3 days before the season ended. I must have played about 400 or more games in diamond league alone just to get to legendary.

My point is that even if you are a not a very good player (I am not) you WILL get to legendary no matter what if you play enough games. I know not everyone has the time to play 400 games in a month but if you are in solo queue and seem unable to get to legendary, the only answer to that problem is to farm more.

Stronghold farm is still viable.

I’ve found diamond little different from any of the other divisions. When I was in ruby I was facing teams with 2-4 diamonds in them anyway. Diamond is just a grind like ruby but longer because you need 35 pips instead of 30. If you have lots of time on your hands for pugging and are at least competent getting to Diamond is just a matter of time.

I dropped when I got to Ruby. The system is too messed up for me to care to grind more

I have a similar problem since I reached legendary division. Like 95% loss rate. In diamond I often won 5+ games in a row. Not sure what changed.

I stopped playing PvP this season when my teams threw matches back to back to back. “Oh we are winning by 150+? let me go guard lord…” Or “We are winning by a good bit, let’s split and send 2 far and 2 home.” Not sure how I got so lucky… Some people got nice teams that amplified their own ability, and were able to make it to legendary, luck of the draw I guess.
