SoloQueue is almost like RA was in GW1. I don’t get where you expect pro teams to be randomly assembled.

Something like Dolyak to enter?
With Team Queue having no rank limit since you’re suppose to have a team compiled before you enter to begin with.

An issue is the point system. Players STILL assume the best player is the one with the most points. They can be rank 20 and believe that because they far capped the most they are the most helpful.
Honestly, fixing how points are rewarded won’t fix the fact those players were inexperienced.
I got to rank 6 on the leader boards and realize half my matches, the enemy team raged at the beginning or raged at the end.

What? Why would you rank cap it? At best you might suggest rank splits in the queue.

No point it their dolyak comes from hj farming…that’s why rank points should be given in tournaments only…
Just played 3-4 matches, 3/4 got people double capping on a point HJ style.
Delete solo q, i’m tired of carrying scrubs, i want good matches and i want to enjoy the game.
You’re really tryharding to make people uninstall.
One scrub it’s all you can carry in soloq…if more than one don’t even know wtf are they doing you lost already…expec if you get matched vs decent ppl..ppl joining for achievments, hj still up while not teaching how to play decently at all (That should be primary focus for new players going hj) and ofc reterded matchmaking pairing randoms with good players ending up with good players obviously insulting lows (While not even their fault…more likely anet’s) + afkers, leavers…ppl not even entering match, skykitten and gaywatch…and so on and on and on..

Want a more skilled/less random environment in which to play? Gather 4 friends and go tPvP.
Or stick to soloQ and try to teach new players how to play. The usual “go before in HJ” excuse isn’t of any help, since in HJ you really almost never learn anything about the game mode (with all the stacking/spectating kitten going on).
So being silent all the game, while seeing other n00b teammates moving randomly on the map and then just saying after the game is lost “l2p” it’s of no use – if someone wants to learn to play he needs to go soloQ.
Seems like a troll post but if you don’t like something….don’t use it. I rather them ban forum topics like this before getting rid of solo que.
Requiring Deer or above would be appreciated.
I wouldn’t imagine the point system has anything to do with players being bad, but dailies do sometimes encourage you to cap uselessly.

SoloQ is on one level with hot joins.
No, wait , in hot joins I meet good ppl with experimental builds, you are not used to fight against.
Today I talked to someone that bragged about his score (though other players in his team were clearly better) and I tried to tell him, that personal doesnt neccessarily
correlate with team-score-contribution.
His argumentation was “if it wouldnt, personal score wouldnt be there to measure it”
Was like talking against a wall.
The Discussion ended with him asking me wether I’m dumb or something.

A few days ago I was paired with a guy who said “Please don’t get mad at me, I’m only lv30 on this character and I don’t have maxed gear yet”, or something like that.

Solo Q is really bad when you get 4/5 people because the 5th dced or is afking. Happens so many times it’s not funny but when your 4 people aswell all camp one point like HJ its x10 worse.
I have no idea how they would fix this but its super annoying
I like Solo Queue. Yes it’s very frustrating to get grouped with kittenheads. Yes, it’s very annoying to join 4v5s (honestly if the game starts with a 4v5 it shouldn’t count against records etc.. just play for points and give the 4 team a little extra for losing/winning).
The leaderboards are messed up but overall it’s not as bad as people make it out to be. If you want to play with people you know are good, team queue. Stop expecting the RNG gods to be on your side every time.
Solution: play Team Q.
Trust me, people in Team Q mostly know what they’re doing compare to Solo Q.
So if you can win middle for the team, the chance of winning increases quite abit.
Aside from some occasional pre-made, most matches are rather fair.

I even met people who told me I’m a noob because I am only lv5…
(It’s a PvP character… Those 3 levels come from dailies)

Problem is anyone can queue up for Solo Q and is mostly keyboard turner pve players I never seen such bad players in a supposedly competitive game mode and I don’t even want to talk about skyhammer. Hotjoin and soloqueue pretty much became one. If you want good pvp do Team Q.

Yeah and thats the problem, TeamQ should be reserved for Premade.
I only play TeamQ, but when I do an organized one with my guild.
Unfortunatly that rarely goes together since its a small guild.
I have to mention we may not be the best by individual skill but still I have >70% Win rate and some of them were training matches where I taught them the maps and timers cause it was their first game(they were PvE only before). But having Teamspeak running, telling ppl what to do covers up more than the "lack"of individual skill.
If you can even talk about “lacking of skill” considering even the skill of an average TeamQer.
And the 70% are easily done, cause you face unorganized SoloQers most of the time.
