SoloQ win gives 7 rating @1850
Inb4 wild Evan appears and tells you, you are where you belong and should be punished for winning games vs rank 1 players kek. Same issue here, the gain rates are abysmal – which i would be ok with but then you face double duo from pro league players while your team consists of only solos (and obviously are not top 10) and you lose like 14 pts.

Maybe the enemy team was just bad. If its all games, only 500 games with 60% winrate to get 700 higher, ez. Its much faster than it seems

The gain rating is too small and a team of SoloQ’rs facing a team with one or two duoQ’rs should win more and lose less. That’s common sense.
The way it’s right now, it’s just a grind fest and people abusing duoQ to climb the ladder.

The gain amounts are pathetic and the loss reductions are huge. I`m actually seeing the standard of play rise as I bounce down the ranks….because so many average to good players are ending up with low scores just by virtue of having an average or slightly poor win loss ratio.
The way it is now, if you get an average ratio…..that means you fall to a below average rank.

yesterday i won 2 games one give me 7 point and one 6 point after that i lost one i got -18 thats more than 2 games i won .

Except you don’t face 1700 team. I have faced teams 300 points above me and still got like 7 pts….
Also what poster below me said. Why do you face lower ranked teams on first place.

If this is true then why have we been facing low mmr teams for the last 20 games straight at a 60% win rate?

You guys do know that Anet doesn’t owe you the ability to climb the rankings don’t you? That it’s supposed to be hard, even impossible for most people? Instead of whining about duo quers why don’t you find a friend to que with? Or be happy you’re even in the top 250. Those who like to que with more than 1 friend have already been banned from Ranked. What more do you want? Another pip system? No thank you.
Aside from anecdotes we can’t confirm/deny, with the information we know and has been discussed here, there are really 2 problems with the new system that were issues in the old solo queue system before it was removed.
1) Teams being generated by the team average system have too high a skill deviation between players on the team. Would you rather have a team of kitten ,5,6 players in terms of example rating, or 1,2,3,9,10? Same skill average, but it’s a gripe we heard numerous times from high rated players in the previous system; it discourages people who want to queue at a high skill level because they feel like they’re given matches they have to carry instead of even skill matches.
2) The deviation between how teams are being matched against each other is, in more cases than it should occur, too high, especially when the algorithm “opens up” in order to find matches more quickly because “people have been waiting too long.” 1900 team average teams don’t want to face 1790 or etc team average teams. The team average deviation of 100 points, in my opinion, isn’t even a competitive matchup at that point, and the system shouldn’t allow it if it’s happening, let alone have any after effect on peoples MMR, because it’s skewed too favorably in one direction.
Granted a lot of this is just perception since we don’t have the stats to know and how often if the system is doing this.

7 rating is about average for me at 1900-1950. I rarely get above 10 and rarely lose less than 20 when it is early. My worst one so far is a gain of 3 and that has happened 4 times so far. This morning I was duo queueing with my friend and we went 4-1 and LOST rating overall. Does this need to change? I think so. This is not quite as much of an issue at prime time but when it is early is is literally impossible to make significant progress even with an 80% win rate.
