When you see an ally fighting 1v2+, do not join them. They are likely losing and will go down soon. If you join, you will soon be fighting 1v2 and will suffer the same fate. Instead, try to find where the opponent is outnumbered.

When you see an ally fighting 1v1, join them. Always try to make fights outnumbered for the opponent. The faster you kill an opponent, the faster you can kill the next one.

Stomp is the default. Yes, there are times when you should cleave. But most of the time you need to stomp. Too many times have I seen an opponent rally because someone just would stomp. In a 2v1, stomp. If you have an ally down and an opponent down and the opponent doesn’t have a sliver of life left, Stomp!

Also one thing I noticed regarding down cleave in larger teamfights is thag people don’t realize that poisoning a downed target slows rez attempts, which is really important for engis to do with poison nades and thief to do with choking gas.
