Somebody bring theGIJesus back
I miss GIJesus. He posted on r/gw2esports awhile back and I chatted him up on skype for a bit, but then he sort of fell off the side of the world again. :C
I want to like the current shoutcasters, but I agree they’re kind of bad. I get no extra information from their talking. All I get is random groaning, high-pitched yells and overreactions to revives and spikes, which anyone can easily detect by looking at party frames.

What he said…
I was thinking about him a few days ago too, I remember his last video was about the water map Raid of the Capricorn or w/e it’s called.
@Enigmatic: That’s a shame… I may have to continue the search on Reddit…
@ Lopez: I wouldn’t go so far as to call them bad, but compared to GIJesus they are overly excited about… everything. It’s almost like they’re desperate about making the game exciting, whereas it should be the game that is doing that for us.
I know having him back would benefit the community and all …
But do you really want this poor soul to be shout casting this mess of a game when he could put his skills to work elsewhere with something that doesn’t twist your inner lobes trying to see what’s going on?

But that’s exactly my point. He’s the only one so far that actually has the sense to not look at every player all the time, and thus wreck the game’s spectating ability entirely, but look at the game in a very broad, efficient, and entertaining way. He shoutcasts smart, which is exactly what GW2 needs.
Not every burst needs to be told to us, nor every stealth, rez, heal, and so on: the game doesn’t revolve solely around ‘clutch moments’. What we, as an audience, should be getting from the shoutcaster in any game is an understanding of how the game is flowing; all the rest is by-the-way.
I think grouch and Steppenwolf did a great job. I like their excited shouts if someone got bursted or rezzed.
I just want some shoutcaster to get all excited when something happens and cuss at people when they get owned. “you got owned kitten” “you see that kitten? he got owned” I need some gangsta shoutcaster not some kitten kisser one, that cares about what people think about him. gangstas just don’t give a kitten, need more peeps like a kittening G.
People like drama people, we need more peeps like tupac because he aint singing he bringing drama.
You know why so many peeps like GTA games because they cuss the kitten out of people, they make it personal in there faces.
