Something needs to be done with Ancient Seeds
While I hate the passive procyness of this trait, its a larger issue considering this is now the only viable GM trait for druid in pvp since lingering light got “shaved”.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
Yeah, nerf the only pvp viable druid grandmaster trait. It’s not like we need anything remotely good.
Yet another trait that will be 400% shaved like Lingering Light.
Can’t have good Druid traits now. Nope.
Lingering Lights already been put into the pile with the other useless traits.
Dragonbrand
Yeag, delete the druid alredy, it’s oooooo op. Plus, you don’t have to nerf rangers anymore, deal?
Well it’s been about 5 minutes since the last ranger nerf, I suppose it is about time to nerf rangers again.
LGN
waiting for the 400% nerf!
Hey, at least we get a Tiger.
now that we are at it lets nerf them some more,
its 1 gold to swap pets and 20 silver to use their F2 skill.
also if they lose a pvp match they lose 5 pvp ranks
and just to completely break them, have them pay 10 gems to enter ranked matches. would that satisfy the OP?
Not only do rangers get access to frustrating amounts of daze but now they’re also rewarded for it with a free Entangle on a 10 second cooldown.
This is not okay, Daze is an unfun mechanic and it shouldn’t be rewarded in such a noninteractive way, either reduce the amount of daze they get or get rid of the snare component from Ancient Seeds.
Holy crap people. Are you just going to go on till there is nothing left? We just got lingering light nerfed. After pets and base heals nerfed. Also a stat set that was made for druid sustain also deleted.
Now you want ANOTHER grandmaster in druid to do nothing. Not even a suggestion on what to change or add in exchange for removing the immobilize. Just straight asking for another delete please.
On dazes. We have… 3(GS 5, staf swap, glyph of equality) things that daze in our entire kit not including technobable or moa. I agree with dazes are unfun. However they are more forgiving then stuns(you can at least move and dodge).
I swear to god if anet kneejerks this ima kneejerk and refund my HoT.
I Play WvW to have fun. I don’t find it fun anymore. Therefore I don’t play.

AS is our worst GM. well, was, until LL got nerfed into uselessness because of scrubs like OP raising a bit too much noise.

Lol passive 5 second root and 5 bleeds every 10 seconds is worst GM but somehow your fine.

If by passive you mean, hit a dazed player, then yeah … it is a passive 5sec (destructible) root + bleeding on 10 sec CD (btw it is 1 target)
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

this almost made a tiny bit of sense, but nah.

Thieves can on demand reliably root a person for more than 5 seconds if they so choose and they do that out from the shadows. How the hell is this any more OP than that? Keep in mind you have to proc another attack on top of a daze or knocked down person to have that proc and on top of that moving out of the cc zone breaks the vines already.

It’s actually not single target, if multiple people are CC and you use an AoE hit they all get immobilized and it works on things other than daze.

How do they do this? Venom is only 3 hits per ally and the trait has a long cooldown and doesn’t pulse or bleed. Wow a whole attack! Also I just looked and they nerfed Panic Strike duration. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Panic_Strike
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Panic_Strike&oldid=610304
2.5 seconds that doesn’t pulse per 20 on half health people compared to 5 per 10 plus 5 bleeds on any CCd target.

given ANet’s track record, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they started listening to every troll and newb on the forums. scary GW2 times that we live in =\
Maybe all this elite spec hate is born out of expansion kitten envy.
Also just want to say my Thief is practically completely immune to this with http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Unhindered_Combatant
but it’s obviously overpowered.
Yes, please nerf it. Nerf it so hard. I dont need a GM trait.
Better yet, delete Druid and Ranger and let another class get nerfed for once.
You all know that you can just walk out of entangle with hoelbrak or melandru runes, or anything else that reduces immob duration. Many classes have traits that do this.
Still. A 5-10 second added cd might be worth considering.
Am I good?… I’m good.

Yes 20 and equal to Panic Strike would probably be balanced and combine nicely with Primal Echoes.
Apparently, Ancient Seeds is next on the chopping block because someone complained about it on the PvP boards.
This trait doesn’t even work properly half the time. Let’s at least fix it so it works consistently across the board. Then after that maybe, maybe, maybe change the icd.
But seriously if you’re dying to this trait, you were going to die anyways. Manage your cooldowns and have some situational awareness. Kitten.

Manage your cooldowns and remove the 10 second cooldown immobilize. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lightning_Reflexes that works pretty well it looks against it.
Something to consider. To take full advantage of this trait a druid cannot run very defensive weapons. That means they are much easier to kill and lock down without evade spam. Is the stark difference in survival enough to justify Ancient Seeds? I am of course a little bias, but I kind of think it is. If another ranger is running this trait, running a longbow, that’s an easy target to call. I have no fear of my enemies running this trait.

Why can they not run defensive weapons? Pets have CC and only 1 handed weapons have no CC, staff can get it on weapon swap.
That’s just not really a viable way to play it imo.

Well Smokescale knocks down every 16-20 seconds and there is no reason not to take that. Most people also take Electric Wyvern which launches every 20-25 seconds. You can also use ally CC.
Shocker immediately after Rangers get nerfed you kittening kittens are asking for more nerfs. I know that majority of the PvP community absolutely hates Rangers with every bone in their body but are perfectly ok with D/D eles being broken for months and all of the other op things that no one mentions and the devs ignore. You can all go kitten yourselves.

So your s/x staff build is gonna entangle your target… then what? Your huge dps pressure is gonna kill them? I don’t think so. Sure it can be good for team play, but again, i don’t expect it to make any huge plays.
Also, it doesn’t work with launch, despite what the tool tip says (which I think is a good thing).
Unlike lingering light, this skill isn’t random, if you are cc’d and getting hit by a ranger it will probably proc, and there are a lot of ways to counter it, or even make use of it (necro condi transfer for one).

Immobilize is extremely deadly lol, can’t be beaten by stun breaks only condition removal, prevents evades and movement guaranteeing hits unless they block/invulnerability/weapon evade but those tend to have longer than a 10 second cooldown and lower than a 5 second duration, though invulnerability protects you and a well time weapon evade can ignore a tick if no condition duration increases.
Everyone asking for 24/7 Ranger nerfs can go kitten them selves.

“UNFUN MECHANIC” lol….really?
That’s why vocal majority of PvPers (excluding the view reasonable ones) are disgusting. Let’s nerf everything, why care how the other game modes are affected by this.

ANet is the one choosing to not separate the balance.
The Lingering Light nerf was too much. I understand that it may needed a shave but this thrown the trait into oblivion and made Ancient Seeds the more appealing choice..
Ancient seeds its indeed a strong trait.
My question is why shouldnt Rangers have strong traits?
Why every time you see something strong in a Ranger ( hello We heal As One ) you should ask to be nerfed into oblivion?

Because only anything thats not a Ranger is allowed to have them because this community is utter kitten and whines and cries as soon as something strong shows up that isn’t and ele, mesmer or guard.

This is the reason you never see rangers in high level competitive stream play. The second they get something decent to work with, people kitten on it until Anet nerfs it into the ground. If a ranger manages to pin you with a buried entangle and and you’ve blown all of your cr, you probably deserve to die. So much removal in this game that you’d only have yourself to blame. God knows, rangers that get caught in a condi/cc bomb generally die.

Why not just… idk, hit the vines? It dies in few hits. Don’t tell me you guys just sit still until 5s wear off.
kitten off, seriously kitten o f f. The only viable way to play druid was minstrel and now they nerfed lingering light you want a nerf on the only other usefull trait too?
It’s funny how so many people complain about longbow Rangers and/or make fun of that meta and yet the biggest reason for it is because everything else is constantly nerfed.
Ranger has a lot of potential in the right hands. But you keep asking for nerfs and you’re going to have to keep suffering the longbow meta because there won’t be any other builds to play.
Also why is it a problem that Druid has access to a lot of daze anyway. There’s something called a Mesmer which has probably the most daze and stun access in the game and most of it is insta-cast.

Did they fixed this trait?
Last time i checked, it didn’t worked on moving targets, because there is (was?) a delay between hitting the target and spawning the vines. And you know, daze doesn’t prevent movement.
Also this trait is not passive and quite predictable. It actually requires two (active) actions: 1. CC the target (this can be done by other players or the pet though) 2. Hit the CC’ed target.
Edit: Nope, not fixed, still missing on moving targets …

Lol! Indeed! +1
Is this a joke?
Lol. This trait is the only viable druid gm pvp trait. Its not overpowered and all you whiners should learn to relax a bit.
Btw: you can auto attack the vines to break the immobilized in 1-2 seconds.

I was in a match with you yesterday ! does that mean I’m not super horrible now? ;-)
There are things out there that can hard counter druids now. I don’t think any more nerfs are really warranted.
Am I good?… I’m good.
Druid is already in a spot were it gets easy countered in my experience as well.
After LL nerf survivability dropped hard. Send 2 people and they take out the druid much faster than bunker guard.
