considering the state of pvp, & the withering community. is anyone actually excited? does anyone even care? anyone champing at the bit to drop $60 for what i can only assume will be more powercreep?

i mean

i’m not excited. i’m not intending to buy the expansion considering what a terrible job anet has done with pvp in 2017. ATs are cool, but everything else has been such a mess. don’t think ill be still around in the mists when the year is out. maybe ill be wrong, & spellbreaker will be fun enough for some guldies to pull me back in. heh, wouldn’t count on that. i’m expecting warrior to ge the short stick again.

but hey, what about you? do you have a care to give my dude?

Im not expecting much of competitve PvP, but the game is still enjoyable to play cause combat mechanics, so new builds are welcome. Anet has made a good work on getting HoT bs back in line, so hopefully the new elite specs will be way better (qol terms) from the start of the xpac. So yeah, I actually want the new xpac to be released, even if its just for the funzies

Consider these two positive things about the new elite specs in comparison to HoT:

-no new class to design
-some mode specific separation of skills (there was none in HoT release)

I’ll hop on to the expansion a few weeks in so I can milk all the OP stuff to hell and back, have my fun until they nerf it, then +1 all the complain threads here while I go cook some instant noodles real food.

Then I’ll probably log in very seldomly to check if they put a French Maid or Bruce Lee outfit on sale so I can PvP in it.

Towards the end of the expansion I’ll come back again to an ever dwindling population and great balance and go on about the old days while I play.

I’ve read a few articles where players were excited about the expansion. There’s a lot of people who quit out of boredom and would definitely come back for new content.

I’ve been on and off since launch, been in top 250 since S2, and am practically addicted to the best PvP in this game’s genre. When the expansion hits I’ll be buying it.

The games state is kittening horrible right now.

I dont see how ppl can get excited about one of the most shallow pvp experiences on the market.

There are like 2 dozen people watching GW2 pvp on twitch at any given time. A poo slinging contest would get more hype than pvp in this game lol.

I’m excited to see everyone buy into it and ESL get momentum, then everyone realizes it’s the same kitten, get disappointed, then watch the numbers dwindle away again.

All for the exact same reasons why A-net recognizes that a fight between 6 people off point is unbalanced, but only a-net is blind enough to think 10 people with 3 cap points makes it better, and is something people actually want to play, or watch.

The excitement is the same drawn out anticiption we’ve had for years when waiting for the next patch and hoping it’ll be better. But it never is.

There’s such a simple way to fix ALL these complaints……..

Add a death match mode……….so obvious :P

Bingo, after the exp it wont take long to become stale again in the game pvp wise. They love their circle dancing maps which is why pvp is dead to begin with. I’m excited about it and ill buy it but i have no hopes of pvp improving at all from how horrible it is.
