i been playing dark souls 3 like crazy but i still checking in on gw2 and there is like nothing….

You still have another 1.5 weeks. We’ll probably start hearing about it next week.

Expect to see fewer players in S3. The novelty has worn off and too many other good games are getting released around the same time.

Overwatch won’t kill GW2, but you will see substantially less players this season because of it.

I don’t know about this guy’s reasons; but I think the game is done, yet I lurk the forums and very occasionally post. Why? Because I still love this game and really wish I could still have fun in it. But something went wrong with HoT, and it became less than meh.

Same, after this recent spring patch, it went from bad to worse. Got tired of beating my head, and just went on to play other games that I had missed out on. I do love gw2 alot but after a bit only the pvp aspect of it intrigued me as I hated grinding then that got damaged for me. Yes I say me, it’s an opinion, and how I feel about the game. Anyway 3 going on 4 years in gw2, with another 4 or so in the gw1 I play the game way more casually if ever now. Was a good run. Thanks for the memories

That is 100% what I’ve been saying since the game came out.

PvE needs more PvP-Oriented AI that is closer to human players. Once the mechanics align in all modes, balancing them is much simpler. Less worry of power creep, when balancing either mode, causing imbalances in the other, and also no need to split PvE and PvP skills (which I am against).

But I guess this is a discussion for another thread.

I been wondering this since S2 ended. From what I recall we had a S2 date the moment S1 ended.

Was like a month of rest between season 1 and season 2, and season 2 did ent at April 18th, so season 3 is expected to start about May 17th or May 24th, I guess…

Essentially, each season is like 2 months of competition, and then a month of rest.

I would guess they’re still working on the matchmaking changes.

Why don’t we give a break to ANET, they took a lot of feedback from season 2 in terms of matchmaking, balance, MMR algorithm.

They have a lot of work on their hands.

I don’t mind waiting as long as needed for a S3 with better matchmaking mechanics than S2.

We’d be waiting an eternity then LOL. A lot of profession changes need to happen and I doubt we’re ever going to get them. The devs are human, and can only do so much, but if this is the best they can do they might as well drop S3 and let us get on with it

I’m ready to come back full time and drop big bills to support the game as long as the pvp and balance team keep showing that they’re trying to create a balanced game that requires skill and is fun to play

1. Many new games are being released… overwatch battleborn, uncharted, etc. A lot of new stuff to try.
2. What is the incentive to play? The legendary backpiece is done for many people
3. No word yet on matchmaking. It was garbage in S2. Will it be better in S3?
