Cause it’s pretty out of control in EST primetime. I know a lot of gloom and doomers were banging the drum before the season and I laughed. For once, they may have actually UNDER estimated it.

Whether it’s a win or a loss, the majority of the games turn into one team frolicking around the map

1 out of my last 10 games was compeititve.

Whilst people in Amber / emerald have very little to lose.
There is no point trying to comback on a game – it’s better to lose quickly than play.

It’s the same in chess…
You look like you’ve lost – knock your King down /resign ..
Yet we cannot do this…

Instead we AFK have a dance party or just leeroy Jenkins into Mid.

It should start to get better as people filter up the ranks.
But initially it’s all going to be a kitten mess.

When I see 3 on my team go for animal at a match start – I know we are right royally messed up and prob going to lose. From that point on you can either try to carry them as hard as possible and hope they do something right OR just leeroy.

ANET didn’t listen to the +1/-1 feedback (yet).
The system of N points was too complex for people to understand as it was not explained in game. If people have a explanation upfront in game (who reads the forum right ? ) – season 1 May have had less people loosing or afk from the start of a loss to actually try. Right now there is very little incentive to try if your team look like they will lose.

AFK kicking should be a thing.

However… the state that matchmaking is in at the moment I actually find myself not even resenting some of the AFK’ers I’ve come across.

At the moment I think it’s fair to blame the game for the huge increase.

What we’re seeing is people turning up hoping for a good competitive game, seeing they clearly aren’t going to get one and just wanting the inevitable to happen quicker rather that slower in the hope that the next match is fairer. Which unfortunately it generally isn’t.

Afk with them. If you actually win the game, you help raise his rank. You don’t want to do that.

I’ve had some huge losses lately where my team didn’t score a single point, funnily enough, no one went AFK. Surprised the hell out of me too.

I got queued with a dev from customer support today, I was told to report it under botting for now, and that it was actually a really good question. This implies that it might be looked at… And maybe we could eventually end up seeing a “match manipulation” option on the report drop down menu

Apparently I was wrong. Woke up and first game at 7am. Guy afk’d 20 seconds in because we didn’t help him on creep.

…yep….

Now I’m slightly going crazy. very next game a guy is afk from start and eventually leaves. But of course he comes back at 250-35.

How am I supposed to enjoy this at all?

Give us a kick option …. Like a party. If all other 4 vote then its a kick and if he was say below 20 points he gets dishonour …

This will add unneeded toxicity in a community that is already more toxic than it should be.It will 101% be used and abused by trolls and as means to avenge other players and vet anger towards them.

Those people will eventually get good, no surprise here that he who doesn’t give up always gets rewarded in the end.

Exactly.. the effort required to ‘come-back’ is (A) tiresome : (B) Frustrating and does not lead to a good game.

IMO if the team has less than 300 more points than you the game is still winnable, but after that I dont get mad at afkers
