With the removal of stats from traitlines (specializations), the additional stats will supposedly be moved over to the amulets, except for the small boost to base stats. In the interest of more build diversity, it would be nice to be able to mix stats rather than just go for more of the same.

Either add a variety of additional amulets with a mix of the current amulet stat combinations, or distribute the total amount of stats on several item pieces so we can customize and distribute stats in a more balanced fashion.

I believe this will open up for classes to take on roles otherwise not possible. We will possibly see more semi-zerker classes played if they can customize stats to favor toughness such as to deal with thief burst, which currently outrules several zerker class options.

ANet should bring back stat allocation from traditional RPG.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

Amen to this.
We need rings or jewels. One amulet won’t cut it.

The only crime, turrets committed, is being good against the celestial meta.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.

It balances out (better IMO) as they’re making it already. Their are already balanced/hybrid sets. The foot part of this is people that might have worn Soldier’s before for survival but traited for more damaging traits can now balance their build through trait selections they normally wouldn’t prefer b/c of stats associated with them. On the other hand Zerker’s can now add I bit of defensive traits that might not have been viable before due to stat loss. This will also make pure builds much stronger. I’m pretty excited about it if they make the stat increases relevant to the current amulets, and not do something stupid like adding more vitality to seekers or making celestial helps OP.

at least let us choose some secondary attributes. that would not hurt.

for example,

some general ones,
+30% condition duration
+300 condition damage
+30% boon duration
+300 healing power

some profession specific ones,
+30% burst skill recharge

etc
