Well how about showing more transperant the nameplates of Spirits,minios,illusions,turrets etc…?
In a battlefield with all these aoe and AI or turrets its difficult to see what players are doing..

Desaturating/fading non-players is a good idea. As for selecting targets in follow cam, are you referring to switching targets, or just selecting a target to see their buffs, hp, etc. While not a major concern, it would just have to override target of target.

I dont enjoy watching gw2 shoutcasts for a few reasons:
1, There is too much going on, too many minions, spirits, pets, turrets.
2, Asuras are too little so you cant see anything behind all the crap

Desaturating/fading non-players is a good idea. As for selecting targets in follow cam, are you referring to switching targets, or just selecting a target to see their buffs, hp, etc. While not a major concern, it would just have to override target of target.

I just want to see their buffs/hp. It’s hard to see how effective a person is by numbers alone and the more information about the players, the better. But it’d be nice to do both (click to see buffs and click to switch).

These have always been a concern for me:

  • Why can’t we see if the player we are spectating is in combat (their UI always looks out-of-combat)?
  • Why do we only see our player’s target after he switches to another one (start spectating=>can’t see his target=>he switches/de-targets=>can see)?
  • Why is there no distinction between red and blue team’s AOE circles? Makes things even harder to see. Possible solution: when you’re spectating a player, make his enemies’ circles appear hostile.

Seeing buffs and conditions on downed players will help casters work out the plays that happened when the action is too fast, eg team fights or simultaneous fights on different nodes.

Personally I would be fine if you just showed what the player you are following is targeting and showed that players target frame, even if I couldn’t control the targeting on my own.
