Spvp rewards on the right track
On the right track? Definitely
Good enough? NO
We now have:
-Cultural Armors in PvP: Niiiice!
-Magic Find increase through Daily and Monthly: Double nice!
-Coins in sPvP is far from enough to make ends meet: Need improvement
-Gear are diverse but still come in RNG: Need overhaul!
-PvP Skins cannot carry over to PvE: Not impressed. Try harder!
-Still no PvP Legendaries: Need improvement
This is just the start, and I trust we will get something good this year. However, it is way too early (in my opinion) to say “really impressed”. This is after all, a temporary solution. Things need to be spiced up even more and it better happen soon before people lose hope for PvP rewards AGAIN

I was very let down with the lack of legendries with the update tbh. They have made it clear that glory is going the way of the dodo, which basically means that whenever they introduce legendary skins to pvp that it will require some kind of new grind and ignore everyone’s progress up to now.
That’s total bs, there are people playing casual pve since launch with more than one legendary and we’re still waiting to even begin one.
Step in the right direction yes, but big oversight and kick in the flapjack at the same time.

Yeah, I would like more, but remember that we came from basically nothing, now we get levels, gold, better gear, gear we get in pvp can be useable in pve? (down the track?), and the devs did a 180 on game modes- from 100% “we will only do conquest” to starting work on new modes; I could go on, but you know, its quite a cool place they are taking things.
I was a bit worried about the cost of the new skills, actually I am kind of confused where they are taking that- one extra mainly unimpressive new heal for each class that is expensive (for spvpers), it is just weird.
Anyway most of my initial fears about spvpers not having enough resources to buy stuff have proved largely unfounded atm, so that’s a plus.

Worry not, though, whining is a nature in forums like this.
After all, GW2 is a great AA game and people who post here all want the game to be perfect. It is only our right to help ANet make it that way.
I’m saying~~everywhere in this world, you see praises for Guild Wars franchise, so I’d say a little more critics on these forums is healthy for ANet, lest it gets to their head

What I am especially excited about, in relation to the reward changes, is that now spvpers should be able to almost seamlessly move into WvW at a competitive level. So for example teams/friends of spvpers could go to WvW as lvl 80s and geared up (I am hoping the pvp gear will work in WvW!!) to an extent, and enjoy that part of the game as well.
Like you say, up till now we have had to pve, or grind WvW to do that, which is something that I- and probably other spvpers- haven’t been able to do.
