You shouldn’t be dying to a thief unless you’re getting focused hard in a team fight, or running glass cannon.

If you know you’re going to be dueling a thief and you’re not confident you have the tools to deal with him, then you should go help your team or cap somewhere else.

Pretty sure whining about thieves was circa 4-5 months ago. If you’re angry enough to come make a whine post chances are it’s you and not the class.

Thiefs, mesmers too.
Classes that rely on other mechanics than damage absorption/HP to survive basically (I mean: dodge/evasion/teleports).

Armor or not, they are glass and get 3-4 shot anyway if you pin them down.
Their survivability revolves around not taking any damage at all because they can’t absorb any.
So concretely they just lose the benefits of the runes on the armor, as armors are statless (runes are… mostly useless).

So you should ask for a nerf to the amount of dodging/evasion that some classes get basically.

Remember that PvP armor doesn’t give any stats besides armor rating and the rune, so it’s actually not a big deal. Difference in effectiveness would be something like full ascended vs. full exotic in WvW.

If a thief is beating you with no armor, he is probably much better than you are You should congratulate him on being a more skilled player than you are.

You dare to say that thief class is OP?..I believe in the fact that only the best of the elite PvP players coming from any MMO can hope to use a thief in GW2, this is an established truth.

I mean c’mon you really can’t beat somebody who : can spamm dodges ( another name for invulnerability ), teleport yards aways from you at will, brake any LoS with their z-axis teleports- go invisible and renew invisibility while still invisible….

You’re “bad” and your logic is “flawed”, just whisper that thief and ask him how did he become so “skilled”, how many hours of practice it takes to shine as a dodge spammer or perma stealth abu..urgh I mean user.

yeah bro, you totalling shouldnt be dying to unpeelable thieves, with 70% evade uptime, stealing boons while putting out 4k hits successively.

oh man man… you have not seen nothing yet.
Yesterday i played a solo match and i joined a match with those teams:
blu team: ranger (me), thief, thief, thief, thief
red team: guardian, thief, thief, thief, thief

… really… 10 players, 8 thieves… that’s hearth of the mists for now, i hope.

You can hide armor pieces. Just uncheck them in the hero panel.

I have no problem killing these said players, if they want to disadvantage themselves and be a free kill. That’s just an added bonus against them in the end.
