ya looks like a typical match score to me I really don’t think anet can do anything about it though. Maybe these game devs should be looking at what RIOT does with LoL. IT seems to be the only popular e-sport left nowadays. Unfortunately 2d strategy games are not my thing…

Gamers nowadays are just not very sportlike. Normal people do not like to own noobs, they prefer competitive matches, but unfortunately, normal people are not left in online gaming anymore, and its a computer nerd culture now.

My first ever online game was Starcraft (the original). It was the same back then as far as I recall.

imo during the days of fps games like counterstrike, quake, bf2, of course you had just as many fakes. But you had alot of good admins and servers to play on too, which is whats missing nowadays lol.

lets put it this way, fps games were so popular, that I met someone that lived 6 blocks from me that hosted a css server i didn’t know once lol. Nowadays I’m mostly playing with people not even in the same country as me, like in bf3 for example. And I can’t really blame people because there are no sportlike admins anymore in games nowadays. Its only computer nerds now. And all mmo games can’t merge enough servers they are losing so many players.

For an mmo this is the closest we can get to an e-sport, and it doesn’t even have a scoreboard for the different stats, and has a community of pug stompers lol.

Ironically though, the chat was alot worse back in the days…

ITT Truth was spoken.

majority of players I see just want their ego stroked in the most basic sense, and don’t want to put in the effort to rise to the challenge of players more competent than them or even fight for competition’s sake.

Just so many angry people playing this game/games in general like it pays them a salary, only to melt when they encounter someone better than them.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.
