Guild Wars 2

I’ve been streaming staff elementalist play for a while now but I’ve been noticing that more people are asking about staff ele builds and playstyles now days. I don’t know if it has to do with the d/d or s/d weaponset dominance that is currently in the meta that people want to get away from but either way I like it. I have stuck to staff ele through the nerfs and everything and still prefer it over s/d or d/d. I play a staff ele bunker/ team support which in my opinion has more more utility to offer in teamfights than d/d or s/d.

Anyway, for those of you who are interested in staff elementalist play and want to know builds and playstyles check out my stream at http://twtich.tv/surelyoverrated as I play staff ele at a fairly high level(200-400 on leaderboards as I do solo ques quite frequently).

Well, seeing that all eles as S/D Fresh Air Zerk builds is good. At least burst builds for ele are more viable/stronger now.

Seeing that bunker D/D eles are a somewhat dying breed either in tPVP and hotjoins is sad. And the reason is quite obvious.

I’m expecting the comeback of bunker Staff 0/0/20/20/30 ele with Rock Solid trait or the traditional 0/0/10/30/30 for ultimate support but that’s me being hopeful. I dunno.

It’s good that people like you still stick to Staff. I don’t consider staff to be subpar, I myself is a Staff lover. And right now I’m used to being staff without the Blasting Staff trait. And I realized it’s not so necessary in tPVP as it is in WvW or PVE, afterall. Renewing Stamina goes well with EA. So maybe that’s a start for those who want to try out Staff in PVP since combo fields with staff really synergizes with the blasts from arcane wave and EA earth.
