Staggered Start?
I would just like to see different start points, a slightly different stagger method.
Last Season Legend = Emerald T1 Start.
Last Season Diamond = Amber T4 Start.
Last Season Ruby = Amber T3 Start.
Last Season Sapphire = Amber T2 Start.
Last Season Emerald, Amber and Non Participants = Amber T1 Start.
Doesn’t give a huge advantage but it limits the starter match stompings that drove a lot of people away.
Not a big enough spread. The overlap would still produce a lot of early stomps. Not a bad concept though.
Why don’t you just start 3-5 days later? ;x
Easy fix: Solo q
If we get soloq top team players cant premade farm you on their main and secondary account etc.. less frustration, more balanced fair gameplay
In Soloq everyone have to work as hard as anyone else. no boosting no premade advantage. I think solo q would be more about skill than this mixed crap where you face premades and matchmaking only put you in losing premades. How it looks when system put me in premades as a solo pvp player. Lets see: I am -> Ruby Player 2 -> Ruby Player 3 -> Emerald Player 4 -> Amber Player 5 -> Amber. Now lets see enemy team. P1,P2,P3,P4,P5 -> Ruby.
I also like to see how far all that Diamond and Legend players get in true solo q. As every Diamond and Legendary i asked all of them said they did it 100% solo. Which i cant belive, i think a lot of players lie as they are not that good or close to free kill in 1v1

Yes solo queue would actually show the skill of individual players. ANET would need to create code to stop people from queue’ing together to exploit…
Sadly this won’t happen. It doesn’t serve the goal of creating Esports. I really wish that would all go away because it’s spoiling the game badly.
Simply something is very wrong with the system if i can beat Legendary/Diamond players but i cant get out of Ruby hell. It’s frustrating. I don’t know why but im usually in teams where my teammates dies first in seconds and we almost always lose the first fight. everyone dies same time. Great have to afk for 10+ sec with my necro as no point to go anywhere to feed enemy so waiting for the bads respawn. Really if meta especially ele,rev or scrapper dies in seconds they are bads. I have more fun in hot join as my meta teammates don’t die in 2seconds. Also have about 90% win rate. I win almost every game outside of ranked. strange not?

Let me guess. Your ranked teammates insisted to “f—k mid and hold far”? Today i had about 20 matches, and i won just 2, where all team focused on the closest and middle point. In every single match i had one or two philosophers of war, strongly convinced, that keep on dying next to enemy spawn point is brilliant idea =)

This type of system is the best approach. I wouldn’t make all those tiers though. Legend + Diamond = T3
Ruby = T2
Everyone else = T1

No. They keep going mid and die in 2sec for 10 mins
As to the idea of kitten mid; I will often say “let’s take sides.” the stacks of necro,dh and ele make the mid fight a lost cause in many matches. I don’t mean go hold far. I mean take far and hope the zerg breaks up.
The idea of starting players in higher tiers has some serious problems.
The higher tier starters will complain that they have to work harder than others for wins. This will immediately cause mmr tanking.
Many of the lower tier starters will feel slighted or even cheated.
That’s why I suggested separating the starters by time rather than by tier.
