Started from the top now we're here.
Well not the leader boards! lol
That GW2 started with the foundations to be one of the greatest designed MMOs ever if given the right amount of love, but instead is slowly backpeddling into a lonely grave?
Our engine was revving, the crowd was pumped. The flag drops and we take a quick lead. The sound of the engine was masculine as it purred. As the race progressed, the fans began to notice a slowdown and a minor wobble in the turns..nothing a pit-stop couldn’t handle!
Then, the car took its first pit-stop…but none of those issues were addressed. Instead, the gas tank was filled up, even though the car was still at 3/4 tank. Nothing the next pit-stop can’t handle!
Another pitstop…another fill-up.
Eventually, our car was full of gas, but falling apart. The crowd looked on in sadness as we fell to last place. Then, we began being lapped by the Carbine car and the Bethesda car..

I have never played an MMO/RPG where the majority of the pvp players felt the same regarding the current state and maintenance of the game. Usually there is a split of opinion, but not here.
I also feel terrible for some of the A-net employees who are the ones who take it on the chin, from us, when they are not the ones making the decisions which set in motion the direction of the game.
This is about Elementalist.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)

You won.

It’s a scumbag corporate move to cut back complaints.
They pay nice, helpful people to deal with their terrible decisions.
2 birds, one stone.
Get to skive off a kittenty job and guilt QQ’ers into not wanting to complain as much since those nice forum mods are clearly doing all they can (which realistically is next to nothing)

Is there a better pvp mmorpg? Just curious.

For mechanics? No
For balance/diversity/game modes/popularity/dev attention just throw darts at a board and pick whichever game advert it lands on

Well, out of the other aspects you list there, I’d be most interested in good balance and diversity. Who would be better for that?
(not moba’s plz, can’t get into that gametype)
For strictly MMOs, it saddens me to say it but probably warcraft. The balance isn’t perfect, it never will be, but even the ‘bad’ specs are still seen as viable just not optimal. Unlike here where for example weaponsets like axe necro or utility focused specs like thief traps/Mesmer mantras are just shockingly underperforming, given no attention etc.
At least in Warcraft you can set your sights on a spec you enjoy and be confident that you’ll be able to play and enjoy success as that spec without the need to reroll from it. Here you might love your little axe necro but hate the feeling of pulling teeth.

Also, this is the same progress GW1 had…only GW1 was salvageable for a time.
PvP players are the vocal minority because the money isn’t there…even though one of the top suggestions has been to outright gem purchase skins from the pvp lockers. Black lion chests and keys are the top sellers in the BLTP and PvP’ers cannot compete with that type of income.
Honestly, bring Izzy to a balance meeting – it’s our only hope.
