State of Immobilization
I think the problem with immobilize is that many skills that cause immobilize are hard to dodge, i mean look at pin down if i am not mistaken it has a 1/4 second cast time, which makes it hard to dodge.
And i would say that immobilize is stronger than most ccs, simple for the fact that you can cover it with other conditions, which in the case of cc is not possible.

Not entirely, it can be somewhat predictable once you know the pattern.
That being said, by the time we can usually do anything else, that 1s immob has already burnt out.
Immobilize stacking is stupid and bad for the game. Therefore, the devs are not going to change it.

Is 3 stacks okay or reverting it back to 1 is ideal?
I personally think 1 is best. I couldn’t bunker at all with my Guardian as a a Warrior used Pin Down and Throw Balas while the Necromancer just smashed me with conditions.
I was immobilized for 12 seconds and I couldn’t strip it with the constant flow of conditions.
I’d be ok even if Immob didn’t stack: Throw Bolas lasts for long enough itself to need no stacking.
If you play on EU, I might have been that warrior.XD

Immobilize, like blind, is severely underestimated by the developers. I genuinely do not understand how they looked at the old immobilize — back when it only stacked once — and concluded that it needed a buff.
They keep buffing things that does not need buffs and nerfing things that doesn’t need nerfs.
Necromancers never needed Dhuumfire but low and behind, they assumed for Necromancers to be effective condition damagers, they must have burning despite already having plenty of access to conditions.
Meanwhile, Ride the Lightning was nerfed as well as a lot of the Water Magic line for Elementalists. Water Magic wasn’t overpowered, it was just a viable option with useful traits, something Fire and Earth magic severely lack. Elementalists only spec into air for more raw extra damage.
This buff to immobilize was uncalled for, I don’t think anyone looked at that condition and said it needed to be more powerful, even the nerf didn’t affect it much.
A lot of the issues is clearly bad testing, it’s fine to listen to your player base as long as you do intensive testing.

They already did buff it. I remember being able to swing my auto attack and remove blind. Now you have to connect with a target in order to remove it.

Immobilize stacking is stupid and bad for the game. Therefore, the devs are not going to change it.
This about sums it up.
imboa stacking is terrible and lowers the already low skill cap of the game. GW2 devs did it to make the game easier for new players, so ya they wont change it back.
Instead of using skill and time each imboa, Anet just let it be easy so noobs can just spam them all at once and forget.

Nearly nothing is comprehensible what A-Net is doing. I think they don’t even understand their own changes.
